A fix would be nice. Especially if we're missing out on a 'deeper' relationship dialogue at some point.

My vote - needs to be fixed. I have romanced Liara in ME1 and ME2.

I don't know exactly, but can't we use gibbeds save editor to edit the LotSB Liara Romance flag?
You can refer to this list for variables. Manipulating "LiaraRomancedLotSB" should do the trick, right?
I may be wrong, but I believe the FLAG is fine; it's the logic to check for it in this scene that is bugged.

I opened up my save in the editor, and all ID's for LiaraRomancedLotSB were set correctly, except 7035 (was false, should be true according to the list). At the moment I can't check if it did anything, but it might be worth investigating.Thorn Harvestar wrote...

Edit:
Checked it out. Still get the "It's been years" line.

still feels like rekindling a relationship that was cemented 2 games and a few dozen hours ago. some interactions are genuinely touching in direct contrast to the sterile gaps between them
best romance in the series [havent bothered continuing with any others admittedly] but theres a lil room for improvement, a lil more space for love. in space

the problem is the lazy aproach bioware took of not getting specific dialog for ppl who were faithfull and the fact they for some weird reason decided all the players were suppose to do a last check in the citadel before choosing the LI,even the ones who were romancing the same char from ME1.

I totally agree,
after I have been faithful with romancing Liara through both ME1 and ME2, I feel like that if there is more dialogue (assuming that there is more dialogue) that we are completely missing because of the bug ... why waste segments of voice acting that we will never hear.
It also kind of kills some degree of immersion in the game with inconsistent dialogue with what should be a great ongoing romance in the game.

Agree as well.
They are a couple in you rekindled after LotSB. Period. We should not have been punished because the devs wanted to make her romancable by new players to the game or those who didn't romance her in ME1 or do LotSB. They should act more like a couple in many parts of the game. Ah well... at least they do in my fanfic.

The dialogue in the file:
[biod_nor_100cabinconv_loc_int.norhen_lia_char_moment_m_D.norhen_lia_char_moment_m_dlg]
There also should be the exact value checked for the LotSB Romance dialog in there, I'll look into this and report if I find anything.
EDIT: It may be said before, but it's really not a bug that you have to say you want to be more than just friends during Liaras dialogue at the Citadel. There is no alternative dialogue, even if Liara is your LI since ME1.
The dialogue in the file:
[biod_cithub_liara_moment_loc_int.citprs_lia_char_moment02_d_D.citprs_lia_char_moment02_d_dlg]
EDIT: FOUND IT! The value that needs to be set to true is
6941
Seting that to true before the conversation should trigger the line: "I'll always remember that tour of the Normandy, but let's be honest, Shepard. It's been more than a half a year."
I haven't tried it yet, but that should do the trick.

Thanks... but unfortunately for us console slobs we have to suffer. lol!
And given the way they reunited after LotSB... that should not even be a question that Liara asks given what they spoke of at the end of LotSB. Little blue children, marriage, old age... c'mon. If you reunited with her in LotSB... you should be a couple. Period.
The writer said they did it because of the new players coming to Mass Effect 3 and wanting them to be able to romance Liara. Which you can still do... without punishing those of us who have been with her since the first frakkign game. I know it's not a big thing in the scheme of things... but it really sucks for the imersion part of the story as some others on the Liara thread have said.

i also play on console, and come on, if shepard is dead for 2 years and still wants to continue a relationship, i dont think after 6 months of lock down on earth where he/she can still have contact with liara that he/she is gonna change their mindAndroLeonidas wrote...

example
cheating on Liara didnt feel like much of a loss at the time and it felt pretty much the same several hours later when liara didnt get that mad about it. breaking up with liara? pretty big deal [imo]
[edit]
the only reason cheating on Liara was even an option was because she seemed to be ignoring shep for such long stretches it became unbearable. the lil attention Liara did lavish on shep always felt platonic, almost awkward
Liara's endearing naivete is somewhat undermined by constantly questioning one of the most enduring relationships in the ME epic. 'are you sure?' isnt necessary, after 3 games and a couple hundred hours [Julia] shepard is absolutely positive

Ungh. Great another import bug. I thought so as it has happened to all my Liara imports with the rekindle during LotSB. I also never get the Matriach Aethyta side quest either. Frustrating.

That's not a bug really. After your first talk with Liara on the Citadel where she tells you to talk to Barla Von... leave the Commons and then come back and Aethyta will be at the bar then so you can initiate it.

Damn... so will this be patched anytime? Weird...
According to the writer... maybe... but probably not. It's not high priority. They were so concerned with making her available to romance for new players and those who did not romance her in the first game that they totally screwed up her initial dialogue. There is a fix for PC, but even that she says "it's been half a year... do you still want to continue our relationship?"
I'm thinking I stayed loyal all through ME2 and then rekindled with her during LotSB. After all that... six months is nothing. We are a couple and they should have made dialog specific to that fact. At least in my opinion. Her dialog now leans more toward the friend spectrum until after you commit... and that's because of the reason I stated above.
