I'm at my wots end, and emailed EZ tech support yesterday, but haven't heard back, so I'm hoping that the smarter people here on the boards can help walk me through settings to optimize my graphics fopr ME3.
I am playing on a Toshiba Qosmio x500-S1811 out of box specs. Has a NVidia Geoforce GTX 460M graphics card. I updated to the new driver that was released on 2/21 from Nvidia. Updated to the new driver since I started trying the game and it was horrible.....even with resettingt the screen resolution.
My biggest issue is with textures and shading when in darker areas, especially on the ship. The shadings is just so pixilated you can litterally see little shadow squares on Shepards face. And skin textures just seem to ....disappear, meaning part of whomevers face will be skin colored, and then it will pixilate into black. I've also been getting random lack of detail. Like when talking to the female Krogan, she all of a sudden will look like a picture thats been 'cartoon' effected in PaintShop. And it really seems to mainly just happen durring cut scenes or conversations. It looks GREAT if there is day light (like on the citadel), nice smooth even shadows and skin textures (excpet for some overhead lighting issues), everything looks crisp (excpet Kaiden, he's always had face shadowing and texture issues to me). And the texture on Shep's casual outfit.....phew.....again, pixilated.
I've played around with settings now for over 6 hours. I've been playing the game but when they are in dark areas, I tend to look away, it's just so painful. And not like some screenies I've seen, where I've though, "Wow! Looks lovely! I'd be happy to have graphics and textures as clear as that!" Get into that Com room, and the skin around my Sheps eyes melts away and she looks like a raccoon, or a zombie with the missing skin over her cheekbones and/or cheek hollows too. Really, I've been trying to get screenshots to post to shaw to horridity of this.
So any tips and suggestions for working with my settings to try to tweak the graphics so I don't want to cry every time Shep walks onto the Normandy, I'd greatly appreciate it.
