I am currently having issues with finishing one sidequest (Citadel: Heating Unit Stabilizers) and getting Kelly to appear in the refugee camp on the Citadel (before The Citadel 2).

- Citadel: Heating Unit Stabilizers - The device is not for sale in the Spectre office, even though I'm getting close to the "Citadel 2" mission.
- Kelly Chambers - Rescued in Mass Effect 2, but is not present in the refugee camp.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit:  I checked the memorial wall in the Normandy and Kelly's name isn't on there. According to the game, she is both alive and dead.

Hmmm sounds like a glitch in your save file maybe. A similar thing happened to a player with Tali'Zorah in Mass Effect 2 that allowed him to have her as the only survivor of the suicide mission. Basically, she'd survived it along with Zaeed, but it also listed her as dead at the same time. So, he then was able to kill Zaeed during his loyalty mission, leaving him with Tali'Zorah as his only survivor.

Sounds like you might have a similar problem in that Kelly is both alive and dead in at the same time in your save file, and the default assumption is she's dead.

I would recommend either checking your save file from ME2  if you know how, or else if you don't (I don't) then maybe someone else who knows how to read and edit save files can help you.

As for fixing it in your current game, pretty sure that's not possible, you'd have to fix your save file (if that is indeed the problem) then start a new game with the repaired file.

Thank you for the quick response, AbsolutGrndZer0! I downloaded a ME2 save editor and opened my imported save. Here are the plot flags:

From what I understand, this should mean that Kelly is technically alive.

I'm also getting the glitch where the heating unit stabilizers aren't appearing in the Spectre office.

As far as I know, the stabilizers aren't appearing for me either. I'm also unable to access the section of the embassies where the hanar is located.

im having the same issues as well. kelly is not showing up on the citadel and i cant get the heating stabilizers quest either.

I'm getting Heating stabilizers not appearing in the terminal and not able to interacrt with the Slarian He is frozen and grayed out, also the Volus for book of Plenix is the same, and the system is not showing up in the galaxy map. I realize these are optional but they are game issues and to not have an indication they are working on the issue is the problem for me, Just like other Ea games

Hmmm don't recall the heating stabilizers but the Book of Plenix I turned in just fine. You might try leaving the floor they are on then returning. I know a few times after getting an item it didn't "turn on" the NPC until I reloaded the floor.

thanks for the advice but unfortunately they are still broken
reloaded the area mutliple times and left the citadel and returned but charecters are still frozen

This is getting really annoying where are the supposed Bioware reps that are supposed to be helping on this forum? or are they expecting us to fix it ourselves? if so perhaps we should get paid for it, I understand it takes time but just let us know your working on it

Some galaxies systems will appear in latter parts of the game. Really annoying, tbh.

did you complete the Mission on Noveria? The Stabilizers can be found there. If you missed them, you can buy them from the spectre Terminal.

uhm, did you read the description for this board? It's for Fans helping each other. For official support you need to visit the ea support site.

I did visit the support site, they told me it was an in game issue and they could not help me instead I had to post here, and a bioware staff would assists me, trust me i've emailed, gotten into live chat twice and been sent here each time, support site won't help this is the only place i can get support for "in game issues"

and since I was told to come here, I have not heard from bioware, which has made the issue worse, If they are going to use the forums as support for quest bugs, they should be interacting with people, instead nothing but silence

Well...it turns out the Salarian in my game was not frozen after all. I had just forgotten to pick up the kakliosaur fossil. I was confused because I had picked it up, and then saved over the save in which I did so. But the Asari does freeze so I can confirm that another person is having the same type of problem as Conan. I hope Bioware does something.

About Kelly, I had the same problem and a friend of mine told me that she only shows up if you invited her up in your cabin in ME2. Apparently it's a purely romance-y cameo. Not sure about that because I'm not up to returning to ME2 and fixing it, but I hope this helps. She wasn't on the memorial wall for my game, either.

The side-quest with the Heating Unit Stabilizers worked fine for me though.

Thanks Abraham for your post do images i posted look like the bug your expierencing? after months of emails to EA and 4 live chats they are willing to take it to another level of support (funnily enough only after i mentioned having had enough and never buying another ea game, wonder what motivated them?) I only contact EA because no one at Bioware seem to read these or even care still have not heard in any of the threads if bioware know of or are working on the issue

Apparently Bioware are now aware of these bugs and they will be fixed soon according to Ea support however I am not sure that they actually passed it on to bioware or are jus claiming they have so their manager thinks they did something

Still nothing from Bioware so I can only conclude that EA lied to shut me up, and Bioware either doesn't know (quite likely as I have never seen them reply to any forum post the only communication I have seen is the original post on the sticky of "notes about patching") or They are aware, and don't care being too busy pumping out DLC multiplayer packs. I loved Bioware games, but fix this damn game already. I have been patient, I think we all have, and would continue to be patient if You ever responded, but as you don't communicate at all, and EA refuse to help sending us here, my patience has run out. Fix the problem. No more DLC FIX THE GAME!

ok i've given them enough time they won't patch it so i refuse to buy any more bioware or ea games, and i suggest you all do too, as this is how they are treating customers now and they don't deserve our money
