here here! I also wont spend a penny... doesnt mean I wont obtain the products anyways ;)

Which would completely destroy the meaning of a "boycott" and make you into a hypocrite. If it's good enough to play then it's good enough to pay.

I loved mass effect 3, and I love bioware. It was overall the best game of the series, but I do not wish to support this kind of behavior. The ending was riddled with plotholes. I do not mind a dark, gritty ending, but atleast do it right. Normandy leaving the battle is not something I envisioned at all, and I figured they would rather go down fighting then fleeing from battle.

I will almost certainly be buying more Bioware productions in the future. I will certainly not be buying them on the first day or before the user reviews pour in.

They have shaken my patience, but not my faith. There was good in Mass Effect 3, and there will be good in future games.

Interesting poll. I'm really not sure.

I want them to resolve the endings so badly I'd buy the entire game again, but I'm not sure if I could play a different game of theirs.

The companies do not like it when people resell their games. So what you can do is purchase the DVD-version of the game and resell it in case you do not like it.

I'll wait for reviews before I buy another Dragon Age. If they can incorporate the events of DA2 into a third one that follows the style of the first one (story, gameplay, etc.) then I'll take it. But I doubt they will go off the path they're on.

It depends. If I like what I hear about DA3 I'll be willing to preorder. If I'm unsure, I'll wait until it's out. They've done some amazing things in the past, and I've loved almost everything they've done, so I'm willing to give them one more chance. But just one. If DA3 isn't amazing start to finish, I'm done with Bioware.

They've killed 2 series I've loved. Possibly 3, I just can't trust them again.

In response to OP I will most likely not buy another Bioware game unless I see a complete 180 in the way BW conducts itself.

Probably not. I've been a loyal customer, and I don't buy that many video games other than Bioware. But it doesn't seem like they are able to take the time they need with their games.
It really depends on what they do about the ME3 endings. But I doubt that they will do anything.

If they did release an ending DLC, I would suck it up and buy it because I just want this trilogy that I love to have a fully fleshed out ending/epilogue that makes sense. But any new Bioware releases from now on I'll probably buy at discount, if at all.

Seeing as most "professional" reviewers gave this game a 9/10 or 10/10, I would wait for it to come out and see what actual players had to say after completeing it. Unfortunately, "the fix is in" when it comes to "reviewing" blockbuster games. Reviewers know full well that they and/or their publications will suffer mightily if a poor reveiw is given.

lol, okay I'm not that pissed that I won't buy another Bioware game ever again. BUT I will be more cautious going forward in purchasing their games. I'm staying away from buying any of their games day one...that's for sure.

ME3 will be the last. Look at the first mass effect. Was there any in game buying day, one DLC, or multiplayer? Absolutely not, it was just a great game.  Now look at ME3 it seems they saw the dedicated fan base as a gold mine rather than the life blood of the series. I dont even want to know what they do next.  Not a very big loss there are plenty of other great developers out there with the right intentions for their games.

And I'm sure the majority will still buy them. I'm not going to not buy all of Biowares great games just because I don't like the ending to one of them. That's stupid. I do wish the ending was better, but I'm still gonna buy their next game(assuming it will be similar to ME).

I love BW, but I will be a little more wary. I myself don't play games to get depressed. That's what we have real life for, right? ;)

No longer supporting Bioware financially until they fix this. 5 Years of excitement and ponderings about the Mass Effect series crushed to pulp

I have never been this dissappointed with a developer before. I was dissappointed with DA2, but I knew they wouldnt let me down with ME3.  I learned my lesson. Oh well plenty of other great games out there no big loss.

I won't buy anything from Bioware. The ME3 endings killed everything, including my motivation to see more Mass Effect or replay the games. There's no point at all.

80 € (Collector's Edition) for a an enormous betrayal. Thanks ! :(

Nope. I had faith in BW and pre-ordered the CE. I feel like I was punished for buying the product and supporting the series.

BW has to earn back my trust and patronage.

As hurt/disappointed I am about the ending of this game though I can't help but remember how many times I have played these games a throughly enjoyed myself.

I feel like the overall product, albeit deminshed by the ending in its current form, is still an excellent game. I just can't see myself boycoiting all their games. I would feel childish doing so. Will I devote myself to one of their games again like this? I don't know. Will I buy their games again? Yes, most likely.

I'll be waiting a few months to see what fan reaction is first. I feel like I completely wasted my money on this game. With ME, ME2, Dragon Age, and DA2, I bought the games on day one when they came out. I have always loved Biowares games, going all the way back to KOTOR. That blind trust will not happen again with a Bioware game.

I made the mistake of coming on the forums looking for answers to saving a character and I saw all the ending threads. One thing led to another and I found myself reading post after post about the Skittles (choose a color) ending.

It pretty much destroyed any interest I had in finishing the game, despite the fact that I'd thouroughly enjoyed it up to that point. Furthermore, I loved the first two games, but knowing that they all led up to the completely illogical and out of character end just spoils it for me. Bioware used to be so good at storytelling. To pull an end that comes out of nowhere like this is frustrating, especially after all the time I put in with the last two games.

It is clear through viewing youtube videos of the various endings, that something happened in production and the ending got chopped. Maybe they ran out of time, I don't know. The fact that the end makes no sense and there's so many logical inconsistances suggests that something drastic happened at some point. This has indeed happened before. Obsidian's KOTOR2 is a perfect example of it. The publisher made them release it before it was done. Maybe that happened here. We'll probably not know the answer for a couple years.

In any case, I will not be buying another Bioware game on day one again. I'm not mad at Bioware. They're in this to make money and perhaps it was out of their control, being an EA property now. Still, I work hard for my money and I don't have a lot of it either. Buying a game that falls so short of the expectations that Bioware set up with their own promises and their own track record leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm going to wait and watch and make my decision on whether to spend my money until fans have weighed in. It may lead to me never buying another Bioware game if this trend continues. If so, it saddens me.

Anyone else having a similar reaction?

I've been a loyal customer of Bioware since Neverwinter Nights. Mass Effect 3 will be the last game I ever purchase from them. Ever since they were acquired by EA, their integrity as a company has suffered, as have their games. The Mass Effect franchise was one that I had followed for five years, and with this rushed and insipid ending (let's all just stop with the 3-ending bull, all three are the same) Bioware shows that it has no pride in the products it releases anymore. Instead of giving its audience a true ending, they instead chose to tack on a pointless multiplayer experience in order to attract new fans from the FPS crowd. Well, congratulations, Bioware. You may have gained some new fans, but you lost one loyal customer, one who has been with you for over ten years. I shall be taking my money elsewhere. Same goes for EA.
