I've had an Origin window up for the last hour and a half says that mass effect 3 is installing and is at 99% but has no Mb per second or estimated time remaining showing up it's just been saying that its installing for a long time. Is this something a lot of people are getting or just me?

So no one else is having this problem or knows what I can do to fix it?

I also have that problem! Are you from Europe? Could it be that it's release date is tomorrow?

I have the same problem although I get an error message while trying to install the DirectX component apparently.

Hmmm, OK, update. The game finished installing after a couple of tries at 99% and 2 error messages about DirectX and now it is downloading the CE DLC stuff etc. but it certainly took a long time.

I am seriously beginning to think that this Origin idea is bad.

I'm getting this too. Can't even cancel the install (from disk) to restart this Origin thing. No idea if it's trying to download something, whether it's a release date check problem, or what. It just infrequently cuts out and says 'Copy complete' with an option to install. Once I click that, we're back to the 99% installed bar.

Not especially impressed so far, I must say.

I fixed it for me, all I had to do was hold my power button down till turn off, then restart take out disk two and put one pack in and start install again and that fixed it but lol I got no internet usage left and its done it's date check now it wants to do a 70 Mb update before I can play, thats gunna take ME a while.

Just force a shut down on your cumpter and delete all files and install again, that should make it work properly.

You sure this works? I mean, I'm afraid of corrupting the file for one thing.

I was installing it earlier, and it was stuck at 99% complete too for myself for ages (2.2mb/sec for a while before I paused and resumed it, causing it to be 0 mb/sec).

I'm now installing again and it won't complete, either.

Currently trying Alaric's solution.

Will post if it's successful or not.

I can confirm Alaric's solution has worked for me.

Currently downloading a small patch/update now. :]

Worked for me too. I don't know if it was the disc changeover that did it, but it would seem likely.

I was able to fix the problem without a force shut down. I was stuck in the same scenario as Grethus:
"I'm getting this too. Can't even cancel the install (from disk) to restart this Origin thing. No idea if it's trying to download something, whether it's a release date check problem, or what. All I had to do was switch from disc 2 to disc 1 while you are unable to cancel the entire thing and the install finished.
