Hate for Jessica Chobot

Source, or it didn't happen.
Seriously, how much you want to bet that the majority of players have no idea that Diana Allers is voiced by Jessica Chobot? It's not like it was advertised with the game; pretty much just the people on these forums know about it. So, before you go making wild accusations, think: was it advertised anywhere? Is IGN making anything off of it (besides bragging rights and pride for Jessica)? Is it common knowledge? Jump off your high-horse and get over it. If it bothers you that much, don't play the game.
Your argument is INVALID.

The reasoning is feasible, quite feasible. If you don't believe IGN would stoop that low and that EA wouldn't have a hand in it then you are naive.
I will admit though that most hate on her just for what she stands for in the entertainment industry or for silly personal reasons. Best not to bother with their type.

Maybe because it IS a nearly perfect game. Maybe the users are douchebags looking a gift-developer in the mouth. News-flash: the crybabies on these forums don't represent the entire ME fanbase. ME3 is the best in the series, and I'm having the time of my life. I'm sorry you wanted a remake of ME1, but we don't want to hear your crying.

Once again: where is your source saying that IGN made some underhanded dealings with EA.

Never said there was a source, I'm saying you are naive to think they wouldn't do something like that. It is plausible; not saying it did or did not happen.
And I doubt anyone cares enough to do investigative reporting on IGN's underhanded deals about such a minor character with a relatively insignificant woman on their website.

Has she voice acted anything prior to this? Nope
Is is a good voice actor? Nope
Is she famous with in the gaming community? Nope
Is she good friends with anyone at Bioware? Nope
Is she working at IGN because she's talented and a good journalist? Nope (even the actual journalists at IGN don't like her)
So unless she gave alot of head to get in this game there is no reasonable argument to why she is even in the game other then IGN paid for her to be there.
I also thought it was pretty convenient she went to cover early access of the game for G4 and IGN, and then proceeded to talk about how great the game is, then a couple days later it's announce she's actually in the game.
Unbiased reporting at it's finest.

Aren't you charming? FYI, you're crying about crying. I wonder what that makes you.

What would IGN possibly benefit from paying EA to have her in the game? It isn't a commonly known fact, it wasn't advertised. Try again.

Never heard of her, so I don't care in the least. Even if I had heard of her..lol. Makes no difference.
This.
This is why it wouldn't make sense for IGN to PAY EA/Bioware to have her in-game. They're gaining nothing from it. It was not publicized, and the general public doesn't even know about it.

Lol, no. As someone who really likes ME3 and prefers it over ME2 and ME1 I have to disagree.

To each his own. The general consensus from big-name reviewers, (IGN, Game Informer, etc) is that it's a pretty damn good game, and I agree.

It was advertised, she made a big deal out of it on G4 and various Podcasts, and it was covered by various gaming sites and she was also feature in the Voice Actor announcement video Bioware made.
But since your so busy missing the point and dodging the question I'll spell it out for you.
Why is she in the game then? If IGN diddn't put her there.
every other voice actor's credentails can be accounted for, Either they have voiced acted for years, or they area a famous actor who has worked for years.
Chobot is neither of these so why is she here?

Corrupt backroom deals or no, her presence in the game AND as the face for a major (imo ****ty) gaming site creates a conflict of interest. She sure as hell isn't a talented enough actress for her presence in the game to be thought of as merely an Easter egg. She was picked, groomed, and shoehorned into the game. You shouldn't be surprised at the suspicions that many people have about the coincidence.

But this still does not undo her frankly bad voice acting (not to mention her IMO awkward ingame look). I guess it's just a flop from the customers point of view.
