I would have thought that Jessica Chobot would be well known by the 360 players at the very least.

The IGN Strategise videos she hosts are placed prominently on the dashboard, so even if they don't know her by name, they would at least recognise her as being connected to IGN in some way.

I don't think there's a need to be rude here. What are her merits to be in ME3? Don't know, and that's ultimately Bioware's call. Does it seem odd that someone from IGN (a reviewer) appears in the game? Sure, and, personally, I'd think it's a bit unethical (like it or not, you're somehow influencing the outcome of the review) but, again, that's Bioware's business.

I honestly didn't know who she was before this game. Although, on second thought, I think she appeared on videos promoting ME2?

Yes, Chobot is in the game as "nerd bait", but let's face it: ALL of the romances are "nerd bait". And you're delusional too if you think otherwise.

Chobot is the kind of bait that one fisherman uses. You know the guy. Fake plastic dangly bait, gets laughed at by the other fisherman with real, live bait?

For various reasons, I'm not entirely sure that analogy makes sense.  Mostly fishing-related reasons.

Anyway, I continue to fail to see what the big deal is here.  Allers is a rather uninteresting character and Chobot is only average as a voice actor, but honestly, she doesn't deserve the kind of venom she's getting in this thread.

It's also a bit sexist to assume that whenever an attractive woman gets a job, it's the result of copious amounts of blowjobs, which several people in this thread have thus far suggested.

Just some food for thought.

I wouldn't have known who Chobot even was if it was for BSN honestly. Also Allers is one of those characters I easily forget about.

 I recognized her right off the bat.  I told her to take a hike for two reasons.  One, I don't think she is hot as everyone esle thinks she is.  And two, because of real life distaste for imbedded media within the military.

I have two female friends who play me and other major releases.Unfortunately they would never attract the traffic Chobot brings to ign from horny teenage masses.

Logic dictates that we should visit Giantbomb instead.No superficial mind tricks there...I wonder why real gaming journalists like them didnt get this great honor...

Some of these posts make me laugh - a lot more make me roll my eyes. Some of you people (no names mentioned) need to do some growing up.

Ok - so, we have a person who wants a spot on the Normandy. You have FULL choice to accept her, or not, and veto power over any article she does. Hate her, or love her - its your choice if she is there, and what she airs.

I completely fail to see why this thread exists. Make the choice to have her on board, or not. Do not trash these boards and the BSN in general with a hate thread, merely trolling for opinions on Jessica.

I didn't hate Diana Allers for being Jessica Chobot, I hated her for wanting to be a reporter on my stealth ship. The two don't exactly go together. I told her to **** off for practicality.
