For everyone crying about Jessica Chobot being in-game due to marketing reasons, well:
Source, or it didn't happen.

Seriously, how much you want to bet that the majority of players have no idea that Diana Allers is voiced by Jessica Chobot?  It's not like it was advertised with the game; pretty much just the people on these forums know about it.  So, before you go making wild accusations, think: was it advertised anywhere?  Is IGN making anything off of it (besides bragging rights and pride for Jessica)?  Is it common knowledge?  Jump off your high-horse and get over it.  If it bothers you that much, don't play the game.

Your argument is INVALID.

I don't see the big deal. I for one, enjoy her wet tee shirt.

You know what's funny? This is the least douchey thing I've heard today, and it's pretty douchey.

This.

But the character, Diana Allers, was pretty dull and terrible.

I have no hatred towards Jessica or her character, is not like she is a big deal anyway and her romance/ "sex scene" is largely forgetful.

^ this.

We all know it's a PR stunt so get over it. That's why EA got famous voice actors like Seth Green (Griffin - Family Guy and more), Martin Sheen (Amazing Spider-man and more) and even Yvonne Strahovski (Miranda, Sarah Walker in Chuck).

Including famous personalities or famous voice actors in a game or movie has always been a PR stunt. There's a marketing value in it.

I don't really care either way.

But who the hell walks around braless in a latex mini-dress all day? I just feel uncomfortable with her on my ship.

Miranda? Remember that Eclipse Commando who held off attacking over Miranda's sister because she was waiting for Miranda to get dressed lol.

Seriously... I think all this hate is because a Bioware fangirl got a bit part in one of her favourite games and the haters didn't. As some have already said... Haters gonna hate. I was expecting her to sound really awful but in actual fact she sounds a lot like Khalisa Bint Sinan al-Jilani.

Let's be honest here... Maleshep in ME1 was a LOT more wooden than Jessica Chobot in ME3. A LOT. In fact I don't think she's done bad at all for her first acting stint. That female admiral (the one of three who call for Shep in the Prologue of ME3) sounded a lot more forced. A LOT.

Jessica, if you are reading this... IGNORE THESE IDIOTS... It's just jealousy.

And that's why she was told to get lost. My question is, why wasn't the ANN rep Emily Wong? That seemed to be the logical story progression, instead they killed her on Twitter . Having someone Shepard trusts, instead of an under dressed stranger my Shepard wanted nothing to do with would have made more sense...

Dianna Allers felt like a last minute add on. No wheel conversations (except the two interviews), no impact on the plot. She is just there and I don´t mind having her on board.

I'm not American so I didn't know that girl was a "celebrity", when I first heard her talk in the game I knew on the spot that she wasn't a professional VA and thought it was a BioWare employee doing a cameo in the game.

I use her to keep the crew in good spirits. she is currently handling 3 a day, with only minor complaints.

I was against having her there before playing the game, afterwards though I didn't really mind her, though it would not have phased me if she lived or died

Maybe because it IS a nearly perfect game.

Lol, no. As someone who really likes ME3 and prefers it over ME2 and ME1 I have to disagree.

To each his own.  The general consensus from big-name reviewers, (IGN, Game Informer, etc) is that it's a pretty damn good game, and I agree.

What reviewers think doesn't matter in the least the only people who listen to them are idiots and developers.

Wow. I thought the reporter looked and sounded like someone I saw before. Didn't even realize it was Jessica Chobot until just now.

But I really don't care who it is though.

I don't hate her by any stretch of the imagination, don't know her and am not a regular IGN user. I'm just super mad that she was a superfluous addition in a game where a lot of the ME2-origin characters were basically dropkicked into oblivion and the assets used to bring an essentially useless character in could have been used on them instead.

Chobot looks pretty good in real life. In the game engine, she looks like Snooki. She can't be too happy about that.

I didn't care she was in, it was fine to me.

Then I saw they didn't give enough attention to Thane/Jack and other ME2 characters and bothered with development time for something like this? Woulda been fine if everything else had been paid attention to first.

She had a brief part that was barely memorable.

She was okay. Nothing horrible and nothing great.

I think some people here are over-exagerating about her. Also had I not been an active forumite on BSN I would have never known she worked for IGN. So if it was stunt casting then it was bad stunt casting because I sure as heck couldn't see it.

I'd rather have Steve Blum doing Diana Allers VA with his Leron voice. As a matter of fact, I'd pay for it. Why? Cause Steve is a CREDIBLE when it comes to voice acting and getting into characters. He WORKED hard, not lick a psp and ta-daa.

I'm sure she had to lick more then just a PSP.

...Not that it wouldn't be pleasant to see Steve Blum seductively lick a psp.

Just saying.

Why do people hate Jessica Chobot?
