Once again: where is your source saying that IGN made some underhanded dealings with EA.

Because when people make underhanded dealings, they regularly cite themselves for online communities to point out.

Her voice acting is awful. Allers sounds incredibly uninterested half of the time, and completely hammered the other half. I just took her for her war assets and let her ask me a few questions now and then, reading the subtitles and then skipping through her dialogue so I wouldn't have to listen to it.

Don't really care about IGN, so no opinion there either way.

I don't hate that it's Jessica Chobot..in fact, I was looking forward to seeing her character but was sorely disappointed. While how she presents her IGN videos is really cool, it just sounded stupid and dumb when applied to Allers. Lazy, bored and retarded. Waste of resources is what I think. Aside from that, Would have liked it if she actually came on a mission and took videos..y'know like Amanpour  or if the interviews were a bit more interesting like ol Larry XD.

Horrible, Horrible voice acting. Honestly, if Bioware really wanted to have a reporter have a sizable role and serve as a war asset, al-Jilani or Emily Wong would've made more sense.

As it is, this came off as a publicity stunt.

Look, I think Tali got a much better representation than Chobot ( cheap photoshop and all ). Why? Because Chobot was transformed by the game engine from a quite beautiful woman into the unholy abomination which is Snooki.

Can you imagine how bad a transformation from that picture to the game engine would have looked for Tali? I'm pretty content with her being arguably the most beautiful woman in the game, thank you very much.

Anyways, would you [in your opinion] come to the conclusion that a lot of the "hate" of Jessica Chobot in ME3 is also because of what she stands for? What I mean by that is.....well.... Ms. Chobot has made a career [Just like Olivia Munn did] out of pandering to the notion and even stereotype that all male gamers are horny....nerdy men who are socially awkward around women and have VERY few sexual encounters with attractive women.

So when people see that she is in ME3, it sorts of irks them.

Is there any truth to this?

No. Most of the hate stems from how she transferred to the game (lookin like a damn Snooki) and her VA. I've made a few posts on here as to why I felt offended by her presence.

Now as far as everything else goes, with what you just mentioned, I do not know. I've read that other players had Diana flirting with their Shep who was already in a relationship with another character.  And Traynor is romanceable. I believe just like Kelly.

Yes, look up "Jessica Chobot licks PSP" and your argument has a pretty good backing.

I thought the reports of her voice acting were exaggerated...but holy hell. She's supposed to be reading the news about planets being blow apart and she's reading the lines like that. It's like she isn't even trying. So monotone and dead. Isn't reading news...her career? I mean the real Chobot...how did this possibly get out of the recording booth? She definitely licked more then just PSPs...

Yeah she works for IGN reading news, reviewing games, and she did lick a "PS Vita" recently
