Hey all, I just had a question regarding my character and auto-attacking.

Whenever I press the 'A' button to make my character attack, he usually hits once, then he automaticly walks around. So I have to keep pressing the 'A' button so I can make my character keep attacking the enemy. Sometimes however, he just stands still and auto-attacks like normal. I have this problem when I use both melee and ranged weapons.

Do more people have this problem?

Are you sure it's not your controller? This happens with one of my controllers that I dropped once, but not my other ones.

On mine if you stay controlling an NPC they will continue to attack after pressing "A" but if their enemy dies then I have to manually re-target for them to attack someone else..

Yeh sounds like a dodgy control stick on your pad, once you attack ur character should just keep on smiting until the mob is dead at which point you'll have to select a new target.

Another possibility is that you have your tactics set to "cautious" in which case your character will attack when you order him but will then revert to trying to avoid combat as the "cautious" setting is intended to do. Set your tactics to "aggressive", you should see a difference, the tactics confused me for a while too but press the blue button when theyre highlighted and you'll get a description which should clarify.

No, I have this problem on a good controller. I can't believe more people havn't complained about this. I can't effectively play a rouge. At all.
