My elf happens to be a dwarven patriot but that's because I only fully discovered the dwarven awesomeness when I was well into the game and couldn't be bothered to reroll (playing mage anyway), so I had to retcon her. Now I have a topsider Grey Warden supporting the Blight because it keeps the darkspawn busy.

DA:O is the only CRPG in which I've been even remotely interested in rolling an elven character, so kudos to Bioware for making the lore so interesting. Normally, I love playing female dwarves as they are the least stereotypical in my view. Plus, those hips...

Those Dwarves are all dirty dusters if you ask me. They put dirt in the Ale even! I still hear "give me a pint of that strong dwarven ale" every time I see one. My dislike has been cultured over many years.



But if it counts I would like to see Antivia wiped off the face of the planet. They may not be a race but as a nationality the world would be a better place without them.

Honestly though, I think all the races add to the already diverse world of Thedas. However I think a few more races could be added. Drow/ Dark Elves, Khajit, Argonians, Tiny Giant Space Hamsters...

I've always liked Dark Elves the best in any context, they make for spiffing evilness and devilment

I hated dwarves because of the attitude of dwarf players. Stubborness as a cult, ugh. Also, they're ugly.

DA dwarves however have learned how to shave and they can look really kickass. And the women can have beautiful faces (I'm not talking about their chimpanzee bodies if they dont wear heavy armor, though). Also, the Dwarf Origins both rock.

Humans are boring. I'm already a human in reallife, why would I want to be one in a fantasy game ?

Dwarves, well they are endlessly stubborn and if thats all you're lucky. Greed, stink, etc just makes it worse.

So where are my beloved Halfelves, Darkelves, Halforcs and Gnomes ?

I tried making a darkelf in DA:O but you dont get dark grey offered as a skin color or red/violett offered as an eye color. Without it, its just not the same.

So yeah, race choice is dim in DA:O, sadly.

The only race I really dislike in all games is dwarf. Cant really explain the dislike, just never liked playing it.

Humans in most settings. theyre the standard the average, the middle ground.

To make humans more interesting, instead of making the other races compare to humans,

ie dwarves are tougher but clumsier than humans, elves are nimbler but more frail etc, could for example place humans as slightly more stupid than the other races but stronger (for example )

I love elves, never could think of making another character of another race. Humans are just like blah! why would I want to play something that I am??? Dwarves...they live underground with lots of dirt (that ends up in your ale), you don't know if they take baths, and they never stop drinking.

Don't like dwarvers either. I think I'll try their origin part sooner or later, but that's about it. Also agree that the Dalish tattoos are unusable. Fortunately they allowed us to do without them, because it's my favourite origin so far.
