As with many people I found the endings..."lacking" to say the least. I've heard of getting 100% readiness so I did, to my dissapointment there was nothing new with the endings, so I said !@#% that and decided to do some investigating. My investigation led me to the "Movies" folder where I discovered "End03_Shepard_Alive_(Male/Female).bik" excited I quickly downloaded a .bik viewer and I can say it's not much better =|, a bashed N7 body in some rubble with a slight movement then cut to black. Thought I'd post this to maybe help some people sleep at night knowing that there is one slightly better ending.

P.S. I've looked through more videos and can't find evidence of any more endings, feel free to give it a look though.

It only happens if you're maxed out on war assets and choose the red ending (kill synthetics).

After all the crap we've been through, in the end, in order to actually KILL the reapers, you have to kill EDI, the geth that you've made friends, and set the galaxy back thousands of years. Oh but you get to survive! Too bad you'll never see your crew ever again.

That is just a terrible ending. If I'm not seeing my crew again I'd probably rather be dead.

Let us get an ending where we survive where the galaxy doesn't get set back. Where you have little blue babies on some faraway planet. It's the end of the story - you make tough decisions all the way throughout so that in the end you can live happily. The end itself doesn't need to be a lose-lose decision.

Given that it is possible to ally with the geth and the quarians, not to mention EDIs new free will, you completely disprove the reapers theory that synthetics and organics can't get along.  The entire reason for them existing has been disproven and they should leave.

I heard of a secret ending if you import that Shep and beat the game again.

I don't know if I have it in me to be disappointed like that again...

I don't need a fairy tale, happy ending. I need one that is well written, deep and worthy of mass effect. Sadly, bioware is ****ing unworthy of continuing it's own creation. Too bad we realized that so late.

Okay, again, the guide states: "A secret ending is also available to players who complete the game a second time."

So, some people have already played it twice and said it didn't happen. First, the guide does give all options, so it's not like they missed one and are claiming it's the NG+ ending. Second, I think the wording is being misread. It says a secret ending is available if you have COMPLETED the game a second time. So, it comes down to either the guide is very, very wrong about something very important, or, the secret ending is real and will definitely be available on your third playthrough. I'll probably finish my first playthrough tonight and restart immediately. With any luck, I'll have a third playthrough done next week...and maybe people who have already beaten it twice can beat us to the punch.

Anyways, just something to chew on.

That can't be it because in my first playthrough I convinced him to give up and he killed himself. That isn't the secret ending, it's the result of paragon choices.

I want proof positive first that it's real, and then I'll maybe consider dragging myself through the mud to see if there's a better feeling than the swift kick to the nuts I got the first time.

If it was real, someone would have found it by now. DLC is our only hope (and rather a slim one, I expect).

If you are on PC and want to see all the endings just go into the BIOGame folder it has all the pre rendered cut scenes in there. You just need the Bink Video Player.

Stargazer is considered the secret ending.

Apparently you have to have purchased the Prejak Paddle Fish in ME2 (Illium) then romanced Kelly (which REALLY pees me off) so that she can return them in ME3. Then you do NG+ with the same character.

I don't, however know what the "secret" ending entails.

Again, I don't think this kind of mistake can be so easily made. The guide states that it's available for people who have completed the game twice, not once and they get it at the end of the second game. It says completed twice. In regards to the phrase 'NG+', it talks about other things - not endings.

I'm going to try and get through it two more times - hopefully someone who is well ahead of me can beat me to it.

Until I see a Youtube vid, I don't think I'm going to waste another 30 hours or so trying to find it. From what I've seen so far, they're referencing the short scene where you see Shepard survived destroying the Reapers.

I went through the video files. Unless it's hidden - which is possible - the only endings are the varying degrees of the red, green, and blue options. If you complete the game with 5000+ EMS and choose the red ending, Shepard survives.

Stargazer is unlocked if you Imported ME2 save (so for those who started new game, you need NG+ to see it)

Secret Ending is seeing the N7 body armor under the rubble and it moves just a bit then fade to black...way to end the series and leave it without any questions afterwards guys -.-

And that expansion pack was pretty amazing especially by today's standards.  What was even more impressive if I recall was that your choices mattered and impacted the lives of those who followed you.

How I wish we could have had an ending that was even half as good as the Baldur's Gate series.  Had we that kind of ending the Mass Effect trilogy might have been in my mind the very best RPG series of all time.  Instead we see yet another story telling group give us a 2001 A space Insanity ending.
