Im seriously hoping that they have plans to add new DLC that gives us a better ending.
Bioware is very responsive to feedback so my guess is they will, just like deception and lets not forget EA`s well known reputation to take advantage of our love for this franchise they probably made the ending vague to make us want to buy more dlc........sadly Ill be one of those ppl buying it
also after credits r done rolling it says there will be dlc to expand your game so there you go

They said there would be no post game dlc, only pre ending dlc.

people complained about how rushed the ending int he witcher 2 was and you know what cd project red did? made a free expansion thats coming out in april that adds 5 hours into the game amongst other things
Beth also redid the ending to fallout 3 with a dlc after people hated it

Source? Also, nothing after the ending, but changing of the kinds of endings are still possible with that statement

The fish you mentionned allow you to get a " +10% weap dmg or +10% power dmg" with liara computerBBK4114 wrote...
Apparently you have to have purchased the Prejak Paddle Fish in ME2 (Illium) then romanced Kelly (which REALLY pees me off) so that she can return them in ME3. Then you do NG+ with the same character.
I don't, however know what the "secret" ending entails.

**SPOILERS**
There is five endings (with collector base).
Another five endings (without collector base).
One of each have Shepard survive.
The others have varying conversations, and the state of earth, as well as how Shep dies.
Although the collector base might be mostly cosmetic, it's still different.
**END SPOILERS**

More info please. My faith in Bioware might be restored...not crossing fingers though.

I hope bioware does this, but I doubt they will. After dragon age 2 they never tried to fix any of the stuff that they did. Right now they are not even trying to do damage control, they are just saying nothing.
Mass Effect 3 is such a great game and then it just is utterly ruined by the endings. It is so horrible. I put so much time and effort into this game only to have zero reward for it.

My hope is that the silence from Bioware is due to that all of the devs and execs are debating now on how to rectify this horrible situation. I hope that Casey is in a conference room right now saying: "Ok, so we royally screwed up with the ending. Our beloved fans hate it. Thoughts? Solutions?"
If DA2 is any indication, BW/EA is looking for a plausible sounding reason to blame the fans.

As far as I know, the devs are in holiday, not in a debate. :happy:Faraborne wrote...

Remember, video games go out to be mastered a LONG time before they hit the shelves. It can be on the order of months - there's a fair bit of coordination and time involved in getting copies of games to stores for a single day release. This is what a fair bit of zero-day DLC is: Content that wasn't ready by the time the mastering deadline hit, but was ready by the time the game's release date rolled around.
So it's entirely plausible that they've been working on new content since Christmas, and it's my hunch that's part of what the From The Ashes DLC is. It's my fervent hope that they're reading our concerns here and talking over an "expanded ending" piece.

Give it some time. They aren't going to immediately announce another DLC as the European release happens. That's just asking for problems. If they did I'm sure they'd lose a lot of sales due to people all of a sudden becoming skeptical of the game as a whole.
Agreed. If they're gonna make an announcement, it'll be a few weeks at the very least. They'd never announce that they were going to fix the endings when most of the players have yet to reach them.
I'm waiting as impatiently as the rest of you, but give it some time people

The Baldur's Gate series ended on an expansion pack. Just saying.
And that expansion pack was pretty amazing especially by today's standards. What was even more impressive if I recall was that your choices mattered and impacted the lives of those who followed you.
How I wish we could have had an ending that was even half as good as the Baldur's Gate series. Had we that kind of ending the Mass Effect trilogy might have been in my mind the very best RPG series of all time. Instead we see yet another story telling group give us a 2001 A space Insanity ending.
Yep - would love if they dropped the 15 bazillion DLC things they've probably got planned and introduced an expasion pack. I miss the old expansion packs.
Was good days.

Is there any news as to whether the guide is correct regarding some differences for a new game plus ending? Just curious. If not, I would rather do a second playthrough with a different shepard than replaying with my main one.
There's not been an official response of course, but I believe that statement is referrring to the "Stargazer" scene, and importing a ME2 Shepard counts as beating it twice, like the Long Service Medal states.
