There's not been an official response of course, but I believe that statement is referrring to the "Stargazer" scene, and importing a ME2 Shepard counts as beating it twice, like the Long Service Medal states.

Cool, thanks.  I figured it would be something small.  I'm glad I don't have to play the same game with the same shep to get the best ending.  I'm gonna play my second playthrough with a different class.

Wonder how you know it as they never show that Liara, Javik or even Joker (or anyone else) is alive and go out on the new planet. They only show Normandy crash and door open and nothing else. But yeah endings are really bad, can destroy everything you saw/fight for in the whole series.

about secret ending i hope its not that stargazer who said to the kid that will say ONE more story about shepard.
It mean new DLC ? or maybe Mass Efect 4 ?

If you only saw the Normady's door open and no one come out, then everyone died in your game. I don't know exactly what the conditions are, but it's possible for everyone on the ship to survive the crash and exit the Normandy after that hatch opens. I just finished the game, had Joker, EDI, and Liara come sauntering out.

I was with ME3 100% until the Catalyst. Then there was grief and confusion on multiple levels. Until I have concrete proof there's something better, I can't drag myself through it again.

I had Kaidan, Joker and James step out in the blue ending, and Joker and EDI (with their arms wrapped around each other) and Kaidan with the green ending. Strange that Kaidan made it in both, but not Liara, since they were both with me on the ground...

The Stargazer ending cannot be the NG+ "secret" ending because I saw it on my first play-through with a fresh char.

(On PS3. I would have imported the char but my Xbox 360 can't play newer games, long story and still angers me greatly.)

Out of all the endings, the middle one (where everything turns into bio-digital lifeforms) is probably the good one. At least Joker and EDI can make half-organic half-machine babies.

i find it strange no one knows what it is it seems like bioware is activly hiding this info from us. and there is stated on ign there is a ng+ ending outside the 16 other variables of the red gren and blue.
and for the dataminers maybe therse a sudden update where the files for the ng+ ending comes about the time we are in a ng+ playgtroug or its a non pre redered cene with almost no dialoge

i simply cant wrap my head around thes but i will play the game again many times anyway i might get lucky

i bought the prima guide twice now and it still hasnt showed up on the library on the site. DAAAAAMMMNNNNNNN YOUUU!!. maybe thats another thing in biowares plot to hide this to find out for ourselfs

Amazing game, horrible ending. we make all the right choices for them to have no real impact on the end.

For me that's here that BW really scew up. They basically ignore a choice you'be make not in the precedent games, but in this one!! That's actually a huge lack of professionalism if they didn't even think about that... But after all, it's quite possible they did this knowing it will cause an uproar and justified to add ending via DLC, not free of course.

That is why I really hate that I have to destroy synthetics for Shepard to live.  Really?  Even though the Geth are not inherently hostile?  Even though I helped EDI understand what it is to have free will and helped the Geth achieve what equates to life and they're now actively helping the race that tried to destroy them?  So now it becomes a choice of abondoning my friends and LI or kill off EDI and the Geth?

And that's really a shame that the ending have been rushed, the rest of the game is absolutely fantastic!

From what I've been able to gather, the secret ending after the credits will show up if you import a previous save. I had the bit with the kid and her grandpa, so unless there is something else, you can get it on one playthrough. I guess it was a little way of showing appreciation.

He's telling the truth. It's in the ME3 folder under BIOgame movies.

It only happens if you're maxed out on war assets and choose the red ending (kill synthetics).

After all the crap we've been through, in the end, in order to actually KILL the reapers, you have to kill EDI, the geth that you've made friends, and set the galaxy back thousands of years. Oh but you get to survive! Too bad you'll never see your crew ever again.

That is just a terrible ending. If I'm not seeing my crew again I'd probably rather be dead.

Let us get an ending where we survive where the galaxy doesn't get set back. Where you have little blue babies on some faraway planet. It's the end of the story - you make tough decisions all the way throughout so that in the end you can live happily. The end itself doesn't need to be a lose-lose decision.

actually this does make sence.

the catalyst talks about if you dont destroy them and merge with the reapers your children will continue to create synthetics

look at what lewgion wanted he demanded to keep the reaper upgrades thatll give all geth free will

how can that not be a danger 50,000 years from now? and the cycle will continue

Don't forget, not all the vids of the game are there!!! I notice some vids during the game aren't present there!

Anyway,  I keep waithing if this Secret Ending is true or not! I bet is some irrelevant thing!!

Given that what the Geth truly want is to build a huge Dyson Sphere and upload all of their intelligences into it, I don't think that the Geth will be much of a threat 50,000 years from now.

After taking a couple days to cool down a bit, I opened up ME3 again and clicked on "New Game" - in there, I saw an option to "Import Mass Effect 3 Character". Anyone know whether the "Golden Ending" would require a NewGame+, like a lot of the RPG's in bygone days?

Bottom line for me - I don't feel the least bit "rewarded" for my choices, or sticking with this series until the end. I'm working on an imported ME3 file now, but my hopes aren't high.

I feel like we spent five years being conditioned to believe our choices affect the outcome of this opus, only to remove -any- hope at allowing anyone else in the galaxy a choice in the matter. The whole trilogy boils down to a snap decision? No thanks.

I feel like it all comes down to a Galactic game of "Let's Make A Deal." Ugh.
