Hi, s
I have been having a ridiculously annoying error. ME3 was released today in Australia, and I rushed to EB Games (Australian version of GameStop) to pick up my ME3 PC Collectors Edition that I preordered. After getting home, I quickly installed it and registered the key with Origin. So far so good.
Then I decided to run the game. It opens the release date checker. I try to check the release date and this error pops up instantly:

I know for a fact that the game has been released in my area. All my friends were able to check their release dates fine. I wanted to call EA about the issue but they are charging $2.50 a minute for support calls in Australia.

I have also tried turning off my Antivirus (AVG) and Windows Firewall (which is never on for me) as per suggestions I've found on the internet.
So I have been forced to send in a support request via their help section and will be forced to wait god knows how long.
I previously had an issue with Origin not accepting my legitimate BF3 key and am now genuinely pissed. I also noticed that EA removed their live chat option (which was good because it worked)

They used to have a option to talk with an EA assistant live, after a 2-3 minute queue.
They removed the service.

they'll fix it soon, they always do it when theres a pandemic of hatred towards a single company or entity.
to be truthful, im lonely and never got to find ANY friends on me3 demo cuz they never liked chatting, text which i can agreeable is a BAD thing while ingame xD
I'm just waiting for something to happen. its realy irritating for all the money they made off us, to not check with random players all over to see if spit hits the fan or not.

Yeah I've always had a thing for EA since they introduced Origin and Product Keys for Consoles. Origin is dysfunctional at best and they would have earned so much mroe revenue if they stayed with Steam.
I'm not happy. 2/2 purchases from Origin with problems that prevent me from accessing the game.

try this for a good read if you want, it's origin actually starting to pick up their weight and actually carry it. http://forum.ea.com/...st/8247198.page

I had this too, and the only way I sorted it was to uninstall and then re-install the game again. Apparently doing a repair install (right-click on ME3 portrait on Origin, and you should get the option there) can achieve the same result.
After that is done, exit entirely out of Origin and try again.
If that still fails, you can use a proxy to unlock it. You you should be able to pick up a proxy address fairly easily.
BF3 also had this issue, and for some it required a downloaded used exe. file to enter the game. EA's habit of release date checking is fraught with problems like these.

Getting back to release date problem - try manually update game in Origin (right click on game image->look for updates or something like this), if game will download and install update try launching then... worked for me in Poland (especially that they moved the release date to 8.03 0:01 CET ^^)

Kinda interested in why it is asking someone in Australia to check with the UK help site.
Also it seems from the picture the OP provided that he couldn't connect at all to the server to check the time. Either he is behind a VPN? or a Proxy? which somehow is tied to the UK?
