A lot of people saying this game is horrible I have not started it yet since I am finishing my Mass Effect 2 playthrough so I can import it over to number 3 I have it fully installed and ready to go and I am so excited to play it I am skipping some dialogue in Mass Effect 2 lol just to hurry it up can I get a honest opinion on how to game is please? Surely it must be better than number 2 anyone got cons/pros about it without NO spoilers thank you just a bit worried.

I have yet to play it, just waiting for it to arrive tomorrow. But I will say this, play it for yourself, judge it for yourself. All my friends I have talked to that have played it, love it.

1. Depending on how you played to this point you character concept might be invalidated by the auto dialogue. 100 % P/R not so much.
2. The game is like the demo, everything you saw in the demo is part of the game. Animations, lipsync, style of writing all there.
3. Once you get off the "on rails bit" the game improves a lot.
4. One you get back on the rails at the end the game goes downhill.
5. The ends are awful on many many levels.

It's a great game for what it is 8.5. But it's not a good RPG nor is it a good conclusion to 5 years of waiting.

The games is very good imo. It is better than ME 2 because it has a lot of ME 1 in it. Don´t let other people opinions color your experience in the game.

You will enjoy it. You will be immersed in the story. You will feel happy, and you will feel sad. You will sit for over ten minutes on a single decision just because the questions and concerns either choice raises is a complete and utter mind *&%&.

Do not go into the game looking for issues, do not go into the game looking to be disappointed, do not go into the game thinking is this better/worse than ME1&2. Just play it. Enjoy it.

The play it again. :D

The game is fantastic except for the excessive amount of dialogue, the flashback bug, and the endings.

And, frankly, those three things do a LOT of harm. But It's worth a playthrough. I don't know if I wouldn't gone back and kept the $80 version though.

I'd give it an 8 or a 7.5, but other than that I agree.

As someone who has been very worried about the game and disliked the whole marketing overload I can tell you I'm no longer worried. Going off independent gaming sites(by fans for fans) it's getting a good reception. There are some bugs and some dodgy animations but the overall game seems to be good. A slow starter though by all accounts so I intend to give it time before making my own mind up.

I wish the old style scores were still in effect. With all you've mentioned there animations, lip syncing, writing and the endings that would have put this in the 70%/7 mark which used to be a decent game worth buying if priced right. The old PCGUK way was.

70% to 79% - Decent game worth buying if priced right but with some bugs and issues.

80 to 89% - Very good game well worth buying.

90% and up - A great game thats way above average a true classic. This means no bugs, great graphics, story and playability.

The way yourself and others have described the game I would place it between 70 to 75% but yet we get so many high scores. This isn't really a ME3 thing but all big name games now. Seems reviewers are just marketing tools now.

That is what I love to read and hear thank you :) does this game for example well to the people who have finished it or if anyone knows how is the replaybility in this game? Like will it be a game  where several playthroughs will be enjoyable cause I would like to eventually beat the game with all classes.

I'm one of the guys that thinks that the game by itself is ok. But the endings kill the story. So if you are here for the story then youre going to get sucker punched in the balls at the end. It will hurt you. Bad.

They are so bad that I can't finish the game after I saw how it ended for my wife. It ruined the story and all other things.

I would not feel a need to argue a score of 70-75. I've been quite lucky in the issues department and the game is very playable and fun even though I'd call it a bad RPG hence the higher score.

I think it depends on 2 things.

1. How much do you like messing with builds.
2. Your reaction to the ending(s).

I can see myself messing around in the middle bit of the game with different builds(wish I could just skip Earth/Mars). But I can't see myself completing the game again. It's just not worth that endgame.

Wow bob. Gotta commend you and some of the others for getting through the game so quickly. I have been at it now right at twenty five hours myself. Did you get the game early? If not then you must have done nothing but this, but I digress. To the op, I say this. Yeah, it has flaws, all technical. None of them involve gameplay. The story is what you make of it, and no one is going to sway you unless you choose to let them. I have had nothing but positive reactions to all of it, and I am by no means a mouthpiece. I would as if now give this an 8.5-9.0 with the technical stuff being the loss of points. However, on funfactor and immersion I rate it a ten. Go get it, have fun, and if it ain't your bag, with the hype it will retain it's trade in value for a while and your out about half.

The game is very good. Some people are really exaggerating the issues(althought there are some that are very legitimate)

I honestly don't know how far I am in but, after a slow start, it's really starting to pick up. The battles are intense, the Citadel is GREAT(my opinion, hands down the best out of all three). The banter is just ok with the new characters(in my opinion, better will familiar characters). Overall, I am really liking this game right now.

As I've said in previous threads, just play the game and judge it for yourself. I don't know what kind of game you were expecting. I just wanted it to be AS GOOD as 1 and 2. SO FAR, it has met my expectations...

Bob's a hater and will continue to hate. The endings may or may not be great, and I haven't gotten to the end so I can't say anything to that, but this game is hands down the best in the series. Best level design, best voice acting and interactions, best writing, great weapons customization.

I'm 25 hrs into it and if anyone is on the fence with this game purely on what they're hearing from people on this forum, then don't listen to the haters. Buy this game, import your character and you won't regret it one bit.

I heard all the same bs when ME2 came out. All the hate, I'm never going to buy another Bioware game, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah. I wonder if some of those people are still around?

Oilking and Morpheus did you guys pirate the game since you don't have the Mass Effect 3 Symbol below your name? Or you guys just haven't registered it yet?

that was the perfect reply, i cant stress enough how much people need to use their own opinion of the game, dont worry about what others say about the dialogue, bugs, endings, etc. buy the game and form your own opinion because your is the only one that matters

I'm sure haters give the game 8.5 Posted Image I'm a realist not a hater. Unlike some people I prefer not to raise expectations beyond what can be reasonably met.

If you have not seen the endings I would keep my opinion to myself until you have.

ME3 is an AMAZING game. Don't trust the garbage critique of the children on BSN. Look to the professional game critics, who gave given it universal praise.

It is better than ME2, which was an amazing game itself. I am having an absolute blast. The combat is much better, the environments are more immersive, the characters are more interesting. It's true there are less dialogue options but regardless it works very well. Weapon and armor customization is sweet. You gotta play it if you enjoyed ME2.

Someone of Gamtrailers summed it up perfectly for me.

" It's a pretty good game all things considered. It has it's faults, but it's an great ride that stops about 15 minutes before the end and then some hulking bully proceeds to smash you with a crowbar, telling you that you should enjoy it."

No, I just haven't gotten on my mac to register it.  I'm on my work computer now and the fact that I'm playing the game like a crazy man, I probably won't register it for a couple of days.

Bob:  The ending may or may not be what you say they are but that doesn't take away the other 95% of the game that is fantastic.  Maybe that "ruins it" for some people, but not for me.

No game is perfect and everyone's got issues.  I agree with above to the OP.  Buy it, play it, soak it in and then make your own decision on whether you like it or not.  I think you will.

OP...Dont let the negativity get you down...So far I'm completely blown away buy ME3.   Trust me once you finish with ME2 and move on to ME3...you wont look back.  It's superior to it's predecessors.

I'd recommend taking a break from these forums while you enjoy ME3...this has got to be one of the worst gaming communities I've experienced in awhile.   Frankly I think most of them are delusional.  I'm keeping my distance.

Enjoy ME3 when you get it!;)
