These are my observations thus far:

1. From Ashes needs to be authenticated everytime you start up Mass effect 3 if you are connected to the net when you start it.

2. The authentication process NEEDS the program to connect to the EA servers right after start up. If the connection fails, it won't authenticate even if you manually connect to the EA servers after the game has started.

3. Other DLC's don't have this problem.

4. You can't load a save game if you saved it with From Ashes authenticated.

5. EA servers (At least from where I am in the Philippines) are really, REALLY difficult to get into. It succeeds only once every ten or so attempts.

Now isn't this stupid? The only way that I can load my save game is if I can successfully connect to the servers during startup, which rarely happens. I had to start and exit the game for 20 minutes just to load my friggin' game. If EA servers in your area are finicky, authenticate your DLC first, then just disconnect from the net when you start up ME3. You can connect afterwards.

I'm having this problem as well. EA servers have been more reliable to me, though. But that's clearly an issue. If I can't play the game when my internet connection is down, that's a problem.

This is one of the biggest issues I have. Having to connect to the EA servers to authenticate DLC in order to load your game EVERY TIME is ridiculous. I've not problems with the EULA requiring a connection at first install, but everytime I want to play the game (since I have Ashes installed), I need to ensure I'm connected? Someone didn't think this through.

I have posted all over the internet, and even contacted support...they spent 2 hours trying to verify that i bought the From Ashes DLC instead of fixing my problem...so just a heads up guys, this problem is never going to get fixed tech support has no idea what is going on and they deny any issues with origin or with the game itself, try to call support to talk to a live person, i used the chat function and that got me nowhere. Just trying to save people some headaches and time :D sure wish i could play offline :(

annnddd this is how trying to protect your property from a few pirates actually encourages people willing to pay to begin to pirate, because of frustration. I have tried 11 times in the past 10 minutes to load my game and I just can't.... because I can't authorize my DLC. Sooooo I think we'd like a solution Bioware I'm losing respect for you

You can still play a game, jsut have to start one without the DLC, but sadly the first time you authenticat with a online log in you can't play it again offline. This drives me crazy as I do live in the states, but I travel over the world for work and am offshore alot. Currently offshore India right now. While we do have internet it's very limited and well lets just say I seen dial up in the old days some times faster. They need to make a patch to fix this cause it's going to be a game breaker for me to buy any new products of there if they keep this as a part of there games and DLC. I mean I paid for it, I should be authentacted just like how DA and ME 1&2 have been with there DCL, log in, verify, than play all I want once it's downloaded. That and I just sick of the MP stuff as it normaly sucks on games like this and take up content room or HD space I don't want to waist with it.
