If you'd told me a year ago that there was a sidequest to go on a date with your LI I would have been mad.

But you know what? The Shepard and Garrus date was awesome. Throwing bottles of booze off a roof and blasting them with sniper rifles, this scene illustrates what no ill-conceived fanfiction ever could: How unbelievably perfect these two are for each other. That's exactly what two intergalactic badasses with no notable social lives would do for a date.

I actually thought it was one of the best done moments in all three games. So thanks, Bioware. Thanks for proving me wrong.

Ehh...
You still get this "sidequest" even if you are not romancing Garrus. Just saying. Though this is a great scene, yes.
My Shepp missed on purpose. Garrus deserved that.

Is it exactly the same scene or an alternate platonic version with no making out?

And with maleShep is the ultimate bro moment, specially if you choose to miss the shot. Now I wonder how it works with Liara if the player didn't romance her since she and my Shep basically declared they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. How does it play out if you didn't romance her?

It's a great "slice of life" moment with a non-romanced Garrus. Basically, you go and hang out, break a couple rules, and enjoy life for a bit.

2 bros shooting bottles and having fun. I told him that when things got hard and stuff, others leave you, but Garrus was always there. And he jokingly said something like "are you going to propose a marriage now?". Image IPB

Edit: Also, I expect a "Revolt of the Bottles" DLC. Image IPB

It's to bad i couldn't go on a date with Tali.
Well, i guess Killin' reapers side by side was kind of our date.

I loved this scene. The bromance was strong with those two.

Notiable moments.

That was for "Thane" and "Miranda". (Considering you had both.)
[Miss on purpose] or [Hit the Bottle]. (Hitting the bottle leaves with you laughing, missing leaves with Garrus mocking you in a buddy type way.)
Edi and Joker dancing together and/or Joker being worried when she goes on a "suicide mission" with you to the ceberus facility.
Mordin Solus Scarificing his life for the Krogan.
Grunt, that slippy bastard taking on Several Rachni Husks, and then being given the impression he's dead only for him to come crawling back out covered in guts, like the badass he is.
Thane Krios, coming in at the last second to help you out in a time of need, and then meeting an untimely death.
Miranda's short but emotional death.

Just a few things I can remember off the top of my head.

The closest you get to a date with Liara, is standing out on the Presiduum comms and talking together, and then she links minds with you and cuddles up to you and you fly into a purple mass.
That cuddling thing happens weither your love interest is Tali, Liara, whoever...

The date with Tali is on her homeplanet and you sit down together, she takes her mask off... Obviously 'cause BioWare are bastards, youd on't get to see anything again.
You get to see this awful... piece of crap...

On the citadel part there was no link minding or cuddling, I only got the option to say I wanted to be more than friends, then a kiss I believe, but that was it. There was cuddling before the romance scene though if I remember correctly.

Agreed. That scene with Garrus was awesome, even though I didn't romance him. I did in fact romance Garrus on two other playthroughs, but after the ending, I now doubt that I'll ever import those characters.

That scene with Garrus really proved exactly why he's my favorite character outside of my LI - they really did a good job carrying the relationship over from ME1 -> ME2 -> ME3 (even if in ME2 he didn't have a lot of lines). He's seriously a brother to all of my Sheps, been there with them through everything, and that bottle scene was a great testament to the relationship, imo.

Yep, just loved how they dealt with squad interaction in ME3.. and the squad doesn't sit in the Normandy when on shore leave, more realistic.

Yeah, the bromance there was brilliant. Just wished I got similar bromance moments with Grunt and Wrex.

Cuddling/Minding is later on in the story. =)
