As in the title, the vignette effect aka dark corners of your screen aka claustrophobic effect annoys the crap out of me. I HATE that thing, i allways deactivate it in every game that gives the option. Is there a way through ini file or something to get rid of it?

I'd also be interested in this. (I do not hate it so much as @Glaso seems to, but I'd rather turn it off as well.) If it's possible, please post a solution. Thanks.

You can get rid of it (plus DoF) by adding the line DepthOfField=False to the GamerSettings.ini under system settings in your config folder.

Hope that helps!

@acbernie Thank you. Does this affect only the vignette effect, or does it also slightly degrade the 3d "look" of the game? The name of this attribute seems to suggest that. (Coming to think of it, I guess the easiest way is to give this a try. I'll leave this question here, though, in case others find this thread and solution. :))

Don't mention it. It does take away DoF but doing so also takes away the color grading/lens flare effects. Basically it takes away most of the post processing leaving you with hopefully what you were searching for. Cheers! :)

Is there a way to turn off ONLY that annoying vignette effect? Why can't we turn it off in the options?

Because it's a rubbish console port and Bioware doesn't know how to develop for pc.
