Not in the slightest. It's pretty common nowadays.

All four DLC for New Vegas were completely new (huge) areas that weren't on the disc. You wanted examples. There's one.

Here's why people care about day 1 dlc: today it may be a character, and tomorrow it may be something more substantial. EA and other publishers are clearly seeing how far they can push the consumer into paying for content that is already completed.

wow man...you know video games are software right? You know theres code? How you think they do patches, oh brilliant one!
Your own choice to stay mis-informed , I'm pretty sure their's atleast a few people that will try to understand for themselves.I choose to be informed most of the time , view the evidence for myself , look into the process and determine for myself what's right or wrong(unless it's a given).I simply can buy into false/mis-leading information and have someone making me rage or pulling my strings.

I thought I'd never say this but where living in a gimme gimme free , game generation. And because games are start charging a little more along with offering a premium edition with extra content.People feel its wrong because they want everything free.

It's obvious that not all of it was on the discs, when you look at the DLC's 600+ MB filesize.
So, why are we still here?

Not surprised at all, given how many bad decisions they've made in the last few years anyway.
But i will say this; this ****ty practice will only leave one big ass stain on their reputation and will backfire at them eventually. TB already decided not to buy the game, not DLC but the game, because of this.

Is there any way we can send this scoop to game sites?
I mean forgive me if i'm wrong, but I feel as if we don't take some sort of stnd on this it's just gonna keep on happening :/
It was bad enough when it was say 1 dlc... but now to find out it's on the disk?
We're paying customers for a premium product... not pushovers

I sent it off to Kotaku and Destructoid this morning. Destructoids already posted an article about it.

And when that day comes people will not buy anymore and will move to the indie developers.I don't fear the future because I don't know what it will be , the only thing I can do is live in the present,
Bottom line is ultimately the customer has choice.Either buy the core/SD or spend some extra bucks for the CE and get an extra dlc.If none of those than you don't buy or you buy later when the price has dropped , buy used or boycott altogether. In the end it's what you decide in the end.

Ofcourse the DLC was done during development. All the characters reply to the Prothean during in game barter and dialog.
Its obvious he was a part of the game that they took out.
