Anyone else think this was a massive let down?

I mean, it's like they couldn't even be arsed.

Image IPB

This is just absolutely ridiculous.
They've had 5 years to do something about it, I mean the least they could have done is bought some concept art, and then made it into a 3D model. Lazy bastards.

BEFORE EVEN THINKING ABOUT POSTING ON THIS THREAD PLEASE READ THIS!

I don't give a dairy mare about the actually looks of Tali.
The issue is it was lazy.
Tali DOES look more human then Asari.
How the hell does she have a tan?
How the hell does she have so much hair?
Rannoch does not have meadows of grass and trees as this picture seems to say... IT WAS NOT TAKEN ON RANNOCH!
Full body picture? Get lost... She needs the suit no matter where she is.

Because ALL of the female cast needs to be sexy, or else it's not believable.

Way to perpetuate this harmful trope, Bioware.

Also, did someone get paid for that photoshop job?  Wow.

Saw this yesterday when browsing another site. I laughed. In fact, this still makes me laugh.

Oh, Bioware.

Is that really all we get? I have not gotten there yet, but if all you get is a picture of her, a very lame and lacking of effort one at that, disappointment doesn't even begin to describe it for me. I am seriously getting more and more pushed away from Bioware. This game may have been their downfall.

It's honestly like they just couldn't be arsed.
I think this was such a cheap and bleaque way of showing her face...
Damn bioware to hell.
Although I blame EA to be honest, I don't know why I just can't help but think they're behind this.

kind of like how they just took a random wallpaper for the epilogue

Actually i just compared and no, it may look A LOT like the epilogue, but at least it seems they have redone it themself, and didn't photoshop a random chick and call her "Tali".

I didn't realize Quarians looked basically exactly like humans. Maybe they're really Vulcans..

Whoever that model for the stock pic is will soon be making a killing at sci-fi and game cons. She needs to have an enviro-suit costume made up quick!

I went for Liara instead. It's one thing to base something off of a stock photo, but this is just lazy.

I found the picture to be great, it does not bother me if it was a stock photo. I liked it.

I am not sure why people are mad that she is beautiful, it was almost a given she would be attractive; pretty much every LI is.

Well I can see the Reasoning behind just showing a picture rather than her face directly. A great many fans didn't want to see her face so they were sort of shying away from forcing the player to see it. It makes sense in a way.

The only people that really care to see it, see it.

Those that don't, never will.

If they never actually show her in-game face, then why waste modeling resources on it.

Yeah I like it too, Google-fu be damned, she is gorgeous.

I don't know it just felt very... Tali-like.

My main problems are:

1. Hair? Quarians have hair? Seems unlikely.
2. Fingernails? And red ones? They couldn't even filter out the color?
3. When, where, and how was this picture supposed to be taken?
4. You can't see it very well in the game.
5. The hand is too small and out of shape.
6. Everything else.

This was the problem no matter how they showed tali people would complain.

I think it was pretty good happy medium ground keeping both sides happy.

Some people wanted see her face

Others did not.

So they went with a picture it was best thing to keep both sides happy if she was in game with her mask off people would been even more pissed who wanted it to be up to us what she looked like and people who wanted see her would been pissed if we did not see her face in game. So the picture is half way between fully seeing and not seeing her for both sides of the argument.

That was disgraceful. She deserved a LOT better reveal than the garbage they pulled. Its pretty obvous they didnt want to put any effort into what the Quarians actually looked like. But her reveal definitly was cutscene worthy.  I'm sorry Bioware, but THAT was NOT a face reveal, that was a travesty.  Do try again.

Isn't that the problem with any Bioware product? I mean, how many people STILL hate Dragon Age 2? (personally, I didn't think it was great, but it certianly wasn't bad. and it's definatly not the anti-christ of gaming that some people make it out to be.)

People will complain, regardless. I love ME3 very much, but it's obvious where the corners were cut. The romance scenes with ME2 characters and  the endings especially.

I personally don't care about her face. I liked her for her personality. What I'm upset about is the absolute lack of effort.
