 I don't care how unpopular he and his romance was, Jacob's storyline in ME3 was just....wow. Not to mention all of the Unfortunate Implications behind it. <_<

Jacob was a massive **** in ME3 but at least now in the Citadel DLC you get the opportunity to *****slap him.

Personally I don't see why Shepard doesn't have the option of just staying with Jacob and Cole and help raise the child in a polygamous marriage. At least it would make the a romance angle different to anything else in the series.

Yea, while I feel bad for Thane and Jacob romancers at the very least sheps that romance thane got a gutwrenchingly emotional scene in the Citadel DLC (seriously I just watched the video and it nearly made me cry) all Jacob fans get is him saying "what? I didn't think it was THAT big of a deal".

Yea, I watched that scene where she asked shep about an afterlife...I wish they would have kept that, instead we get Ashley Williams: Alcoholic, which is made worse in the Citadel DLC, I don't particularly like how either VS was handled from ME2 on but at least Kaidan seems apologetic to shepard after the Citadel attack.

Dunno, I always saved Ashley on Virmire, much preferred her to Kaidan in ME1. ME3 though, no contest, Kaidan all the way.

It didn't help:  "I'm sorry I felt the need to question you over and over, even after I was informed that there would have been no way for you to know by the person that was assigned as your guard"  Just didn't cut it.  If VS doesn't die post coup, they are off my ship.  Especially since, in so far as we are told by the opening of ME 3, they carried that distrust all the way through Shepard's being relieved of duty, to the point where they make 0 attempts to contact Shepard.  Just two people that, given an ideal circumstance to advance themselves, they rode Shepard's armor tails to greatness, and then dismissed Shepard out of hand, until they found they had to work with Shep again, and then it's "You took my command, so I am going to question every thing you do, and even things you have no control over".

I thought it was good to have at least one squaddie who would question and challenge you a bit. Having an entire ship full of loyal flunkies makes for a good power fantasy I suppose but it's not really conducive to good judgement for any leader.

As for Jacob, I don't know. I enjoyed slapping him...

I agree, I think Kaidan was handled well in 3, I just can't like ashley in 3

I love the idea of characters to question you actions. It makes the game feel realistic.

Frankly Horizon was great moment for me. Finally someone who Cerberus did not buy. I like when people can stand for what they believe in. My shepard dont need stupid mindless followers. And their reaction is understandable. It´s not like Shepard wrote them, or replied to their email, Or helped them to get out of the Collectors stasis.

Actually I thought it was weird Chakwas went to Cerberus. I know all Shepard and that. It doesn´t seem like her character to leave Alliance and join terrorist organization. Shepard or not.

Joker had survivors guilt, and Garrus and Tali had to be rescued in order to join SR2 crew.
The only fault Jacob had was lack of proper fanbase. So they had to get rid of him - by hooking him up with sexi woman.

They could have made him a less stereotypical character though, there really wasn't any reason to screw over that fan base like that, as I believe in terms of male romances if you romanced Jacob you were screwed.

They actually explain this in detail in both 2 and 3.

She never left the Alliance. She took time off.  And she only went to Cerberus for Joker. She was concerned about his health and lack of willingess to look after himself.

Then in 3 she talks about how proud she was of using them
