What we have here is a failure to communicate...

First and foremost I would like to thank Bioware on making a great game. I'm really enjoying the multiplayer (one of the main reason I bought the game). I really feel like it's a change of pace from other 3rd person shooters/RPGs.

I run Mass Effect 3 on my PC and when I tried the demo, I realized that I could talk to people with my microphone, but I couldn't hear them. I tried to do Gold challenge without a microphone and found it to be quite hard/impossible without communcation. I wasn't too worried since I knew it was a demo and that I saw there was a key binding for text chat.

Imagine my suprise when I found out that there's no text chat in the full retail version of the game and that I still can't hear people talking to me...

I have been playing multiplayer games on my PC since Quake 2 back in the 90s and I don't remember a single game that didn't have a form of text chat to communicate with others (even pre-recorded radio messages would be fine at this point).

I would really like to take on a Gold Challenge and have a chance to make it throught. Can a developper confirm that text chat is underway or at least some kind of options for voice chat? For reference, I'm using the latest Realtek HD drivers for my on board sound and I would like to have a way to test my microphone and sliders to adjust the volume of outgoing and incoming transmissions.

I would like to thank Bioware again for making a great universe and making a fun multiplayer experience.

P.S. Sorry about the mistakes, English is not my first language.
