I saw this from a website:

Readiness Rating 4000 – Choose to destroy the Reapers and Save Anderson to see Shepard lives.
Readiness Rating 5000 – Choose to destroy the reapers and not Save Anderson to see Shepard lives.

I have few questions:
1) Are these requirements true?
2) Is Readiness Rating means War Asset?
3) Is it possible to reach 4000 without playing Galaxy At War, which in fact require 8000?
4) Why 5000 ending is worse than 4000?
5) If I choose blue or green ending, can I save Shepard?

1. Yes
2. War Assets are divided by the % that your readiness rating is at
3. I don't think so, I think 3500 is max with 50% and 7000 with 100%
4. It's not, in rating 4k you HAVE to have enough Paragon points to save Anderson to see that Shep lives, in the 5k ending it doesn't matter if you save him or not to see if Shep lives
5. Don't think so.

1. I believe so, yes
2. Yes, they are your required 'effective military strength' score
3. Yes, you can reach 4000. You will need to complete all of the sidequests, though. I'm not positive you can reach 5000.
4. It isn't. If you have 4000, you /must/ save Anderson to live. If you have 5000, you do not need to save Anderson to live. To save Anderson, I believe you need a high reputation score.
5. No

In all but worst possible red ending shepard dies.
Though Control is not entirely death but ascension of Shepards mind.

I reached 6000 war asset in singlepayer, though i choosen blue ending as most beneficial.

"Saving" Anderson is merely using renegade interruption, so i dunno.
