So... Harbinger

I feel that in ME3 the villainy was shifted from the Reapers to the Illusive man. Which is sad, because the Illusive man isn't all that great of a villain. Maybe, with the whole "god controlling the reapers" thing they had happen at the end, they wanted to pretend the Reapers weren't all intelligent machines?
That's really a 180 from ME2. If that's the case, I wonder why they decided to change it? I mean honestly, from ME2 it seemed that the whole goal of the Reapers was self-preservation (aka reproduction in the form of destroying species to make new Reapers). That, in itself, was a perfectly understandable reason for mass genocide.
TL;DR: Why the hell doesn't Harbinger say anything all game and why was it so necessary to do a 180 and invent a new meaning for the Reapers existence?

Bioware just... doesn't know what they're doing anymore.
Agreed, but if DA2 is any indication they still think they do which is even worse. It took months for BW to aknowledge that DA2 wasn't the greatest game ever made (even going so far as to blame the fans). I predict much the same reaction here.

His scope was not shown nor his power... potential wasted.

Indeed, bit strange they hyped him up to be the largest reaper of them all and yet that wasn't shown at all. Think the least they could've done was him decimating Sword fleet.. doesn't make any sense for him to go back to Earth to deal with the remaining hammer units.

Well it makes sense he went back to Earth to deal with the forces trying to get on the Citadel (why were they teleporting bodies onto the Citadel anyway? The Citadel wasn't a harvester). I'm most annoyed by the fact he doesn't say anything to you at all. It's completely counter to his character (yes, the Reapers HAD character at one point).

Harbinger had so much potential to flesh it out as a clear enemy foil for Shepard, and the chance was totally wasted. Utter shame.

I agree he should have been a boss fight, even if he escapes from the boss fight at the end. Having him taunt you or talking at you while you try to destory him. I mean they have bad!#@ voices.
Also no Thax cannon use??? really? One of the nastiest weapons and yet not used once. Or at least shown??
