Yep. She's awesome but then i'm an Andromeda fan XD My shep has always considered her a friend, she's sentient, she's a person, it doesn't matter what her physical form is.
Did you want EDI as a Squad Member?

I was disappointed for about ten minutes... now I take her everywhere. She amuses me, and her growing into her new skin, as it were, has been fun to watch.

No.
I wanted Legion.
The whole body thing seems forced.
But she could be useful.
Though, I feel sorry for Tricia Helfer being typecast as the hot fembot.

I didn't want her, frankly, but I decided to take my chances.
And she. is. awesome.
When she told me she called Joker out on his bull****, i literally loled for half an hour

EDI was one surprise I was SUPER happy to see. Edi is voiced by Tricia Helfer, who plays cylon model Six in the re-imaged Battlestar Galactica. So to have a walking toaster for a squadmate voiced by my favorite Cylon was Fan-girl squee worthy. I don't know if it's typecasting so much as just...sci-fi fan service.
It didn't hurt that she's pretty damn funny to boot.
She's not as good as Jack..but close.
It was also nice to see more of Micheal Hogan (C-Sec officer Baily) . Good voice talent is always fun.

When I first heard about the idea....I was indifferent, but also a little curious to see how they would implement it and how it would turn out. I'm still indifferent to having her as a squadmate, though admittedly she is quite useful, but I think the whole idea of giving her a body in M E 3 was pretty cool, and how they wrote it into the story was done pretty nicely, I think.

I'd originally been pretty indifferent to her as a squadmate (and the new body and Joker relationship had me ready to cringe) but after playing I though she was pretty useful and that the story stuff was fairly entertaining - so now I'd say I'm glad they took that direction with her.

It never really crossed my mind that she would become one. I thought the interactions between EDI and Joker in ME2 were charming and I was hoping Bioware might continue that story arc in ME3, which they did tenfold and I was very pleasantly surprised by her becoming a squadmate. She's earnest and her regard for Joker is very sweet. For me it's hard not to like her.
Her body design is nothing special, but I do enjoy her personality and sense of humor so in the end I didn't really care enough about her appearance to not bring her along on a regular basis. I enjoy having her around.
