I have enjoyed playing as my Arcane Warrior thus far and have decieded that I want to keep him. Is there a way to completely reset a game but keep your character as is. Your companions I could really care less about, but my character i've grown to like. I would perfer it in mod form, however if there is a console command that will reset you to your original position and restart the story I would be willing to do so. So can someone produce such a mod that will ask you if you want to start a new game plus after completing the game. If possible an NPC in camp, that appears whne you load a game back up you completed.

So I am to take it you believe this is a good idea as well? Forgive me my forum speak is a bit rusty, but I believe the +1 was for approval rate correct?

All of the dialogue's would be screwy, since you've just completed the game with all of those options and now have reset it. It would be possible to make a new game and mod your stats to be that of your old character, but all of the conversations you had would have to be wiped...

I highly doubt it is as difficult as you claim, the only foreseen problems with dialogue are existing dialogue problems within the game that Bioware will fix with time. Just program sub routines within the code to handle resetting the data. It would probably be an easier task to simply have it copy your characters end game stats and equipment. Then place this copy inside of a new instance that is determined by the origin of your character. None of your companions data will carry over to the new save. However due to level scaling they will be near your level, and you will simply be required to give them equipment and spec their stats.

Well, since there is a level cap at 25... What would you do? Stay at max level and never go anywhere?

I thought they had said there was no hard cap. Did this change recently?

I think all you would have to do is to mod the character gen to use the import from save option instead of the import from character creator.

Never go anywhere? That sounds more like the Epilogue of the game. If we could start over from then we would get alot more use out of our characters instead of just throwing them away at the end and starting a new one.

I think stuntpope is onto something, that might be the way to go if it's even possible.

it's definitely possible with your own module. Haven't looked into how to do it with the single player game though.

Just find where it calls StartCharGen(GetHero(),0,FALSE); and overwrite it with StartCharGen(GetHero(),0,TRUE);
