I'd also really like if DICE were given license to make a Battlefield style Mass Effect game, multiplayer and everything.

Retcon ME3's ending.
The entire series will have to be retconned if BW decides to actually keep making more games set after ME3.

Stories don't go along well with sandbox RPG. Oh and before u say Skyrim. the story is not that great. In sandbox RPGs u will wander about aimlessly wondering what to do half of the time.

The universe's main storyline is the Reapers and there's relatively little mystery left. If you continue with the Reapers, it demeans the storyline of 1-3. If you introduce a more dire threat, it demeans the threat of the Reapers (and requires introduction of a new threat that was mysteriously unknown in the first three games). If you introduce a less dire threat, it just seems like it's going downhill.
We already know most of what happened for any of the sort of prequel or spin-offs that could be created. The joy of Mass Effect is in learning about the setting, particularly its deeper mysteries. Continuining with it past this point sort of eliminates that aspect.
They've created a great trilogy and that's exactly how it should stay. BioWare should not try to go the Star Wars route with this.

Please do not give options for player choices at all as it will leave us unsatisfied and make the game very complex.
This, i rather play and enjoy a well told story than try make my own thus making the team make all the choices and consequences when they would only need do 1.

Dude a Freelancer style game in the ME universe would be pretty freaking cool. I am saddened by the lack of quality space combat games in the past decade. I do not play EVE online nor do I have any desire to.Skelter192 wrote...
There is a lot they can do.
- Open world with an emphasis on exploration.
- More rpg features, skill checks and better dialogue system not just nice guy, netural and jerk
- Space combat comparable to Battlefront 2 or Freelancer
- Different engine. Red Engine could be awesome.
- PC version actually feels like a PC game. Amazing graphics, customizable keys, configurable FoV, font size scalable, keyboard shortcuts and anything else I didn't think of.
- Co-op online be it co-op story or something competitive.
- Customizable spaceship
- An SDK, let the community create their own missions on the millions of uncharted worlds!
Oh man Eve Online is pretty damn amazing it's just I'm not one for pvp so I don't play it a lot. I would love a space combat sim set in the ME universe!

I like this. I like all of this.
Thanks! Now do add to it! The reason I am so interested in Prey 2 is because it's an open world scifi game.

I'll call it the 'next mass effect'.
How about a game where you are the reapers (specifically sovereign or harbinger) and you have to wage campaigns against the organics. Each "chapter" is one of the cycles. The last chapter is where ME1 - ME3 occurs.

Mass Effect: Special Forces.
The Single Player experience:
Take the Multiplayer and expand it.
Make a huge campaign. Allow drop in/drop out capabilities in the form of "Ally Emergency Drops" that you can choose to accept or decline. Allow a "Vote to Discharge" option so the bad ones get the boot. Friends joining the game don't advance in their own games storylines so as to not spoil the surprises for them.
Players accept missions from their terminal or from randomly dropping in on a planet. Missions pay out in credits which can be used to upgrade your weapons, abilities and the ship itself. There can be an onbaord shop or you can visit places like Omega for upgrades or quality of life improvements. Buy themes that match your Player Character like Quarian Quarters, Turian Decor or even Cerberus Chic.
Levels return with a cap of 30. EXP is shared and distributed just like in the ME3 Multiplayer, except even if someone drops out, you can still get the EXP the generated. Levels grant you points to distribute into your tech trees to modify cooldown times, damage multipliers and the like. Added bonus, you can't "outlevel" a mission. So if you ding during a friend's game, you won't lose the challenge in your own game.
Due to it being a team based game, most of the higher paying missions require a partner or full team. However, for those without friends or have an open spot on the team, you can take 3 or less A.I teammates, whom you can recruit on missions. They come in various race and class combos, so you can pick and choose the right person for the job.
Character customization gets a huge rehaul akin to DA: O. Pick a race and a background, which will change your starting experience and dialogues in the game. Some race/background could include:
- Earthborn Humans or Spacers
- Military Turians or Civilians
- Salarian Scientists or STG
- Krogan Battlemasters or frontline grunts
Special DLC could unlock new racial choices like Batarians, Vorcha and even (and I have pretty cool idea for how to do it) Collectors!
The Multiplayer experience:
Pretty much keep it the same. Why mess with perfection?
Add more modes though, like Player Escort, Survival, Time Trial, and even a "Training" mode so you can hone your skills with your weapon mods (Nothing sucks more than when somone unlocks a gun and can't use it correctly in a live match).
That's all I got now. If I get anymore ideas, I'll update it.

I would love a sandbox MMO. Just imagine actually being able to visit an uncharted world and finding incredibily resources of such a pure quality and making it into a badass gun. How about finding a remote outpost on some backwater planet with a growing merc army in the Terminus systems? Imagine spaceflight like this and be able to just land on a planet.

I'm done with this trilogy, continue Jade Empire or ditch the (wretched god-cursed slab of human excrement-Fixed) MMO for KOTOR 3 please.
Or just think up an entirely new trilogy to make and slowly ruin.
DAO was the last RPG, and ME2 was the first FPS, so as long as BioWare is still owned by EA, then they will get not one red cent from me...Unless of course, they release a game that hearkens to their gloried past and is not required to install Origin, then I will be more than happy to empty my bank account into theirs!

next antagonist should be beings from different galaxy (making reapers the good guys, like reapers were firewall for the galaxy's outer parts and to keep all in from harm.)
the emotional conflicts in me3 were perfect so keeping the same kind of structure would be really nice, more weapons.. etc
