Hey Guys,
I thought it would be cool to start throwing out some ideas for Mass Effect 4 ( if there will be one) on the next gen systems. Here are my suggestions:
1. Commander Shepard will not be in the next games, therefore I suggest two or three protaganists to select from.
2. Do not attempt to make another Trillogy. Make it one very long game that allows you make dozens of choices. That way the player can see their decisions play out immediately and not over the course of the years it takes to make a trillogy.
3. More RPG!!!! Forget the MW3, Gears of War fan base. Make the next game a heavy RPG with losts of conversations. Some will say that this will alienate the shooter fan base but so what! Make a seperate game for them! Give your loyal fans, who are mostly RPG lovers what they want!
4. No more Reapers! Give us a fress story line with in the Mass Effect Universe.
5. Bring back the Mako but imporove its controls. Many people say that it was pointless or stupid to have it in the first game but they are being limited in their vision. Bioware, the concept of landing on and exploring alien worlds is important to EVERY SCIENCE FICTION ever written!!!!! Make us explorers. With the next gen tech you should be able to put us on alien worlds that are unique, interesting and vast. The mako would take us from mission to mission as we scower the alien world.
6. Finally, stronger and more robust gameplay and converstaions. Create situations where the player has to lie because they do not trust an individiual. Make the game about knowing what to say and who not to say it to.
What would you guys like to see in ME 4?
What would I like to see? Almost nothing from your list, except points 1 and 2.

There is a lot they can do.
- Open world with an emphasis on exploration.
- More rpg features, skill checks and better dialogue system not just nice guy, netural and jerk
- Space combat comparable to Battlefront 2 or Freelancer OR X3TC *fixed*
- Different engine. Red Engine could be awesome.
- PC version actually feels like a PC game. Amazing graphics, customizable keys, configurable FoV, font size scalable, keyboard shortcuts and anything else I didn't think of.
- Co-op online be it co-op story or something competitive.
- Customizable spaceship
- An SDK, let the community create their own missions on the millions of uncharted worlds!
*fixed and underlined*
Seriously, how do fans of space flying combat not know about the X games?
Those games are beyond awesome and the modding community is one of the best, so good in fact that many fan mods are patched into the game FREE on a month to month basis.
What are you waiting for?

The human first space exploration with the Turian war seduce me too.
The starting life of shepard...Sol survivor,war hero,ruthless.
In my end of Me3 Shepard survive but i dont see what happening after, that can really be great to continue the story, look the reconstruction and have more details.(I see shepard restart breathing in the ruins of the citadel. )
Ex: A new soldier go save shepard he take place in concil and you receive the mission from him: too much Krogan and a new war come, new galactic ennemies after the battle, save the member of the normandy from the crash, find new technology to rebuild new relay, war against new Ia like what the Catalyste say.....
That can be a solution to a new story, new hero and give to fans what he want...

If Shepard is not in Mass Effect 4, then it is not a Mass Effect game.
I will not buy it.
Told ya.
This is why the ending is what it is. People get too attached and Shepard can't be left alone.

1. Play each member of your team, in a way that tells how they travelled and acted up until the moment they meet your PC or come together as a group.
2. Be allowed to pick from those team members your main PC and then continue the playthrough.
I would also like to see a more multi-dimensional approach to relationships with teammates and others in general. I often found myself, during DA, wishing I could change NPCs preferences as much as I could also befriend them. I wish there was not only a love/hate meter but also an agree/disagree philosophy meter. I really enjoy the missions in ME and DA that allow you to 'turn' your teammates in different directions.
One more. I would like to see a little less "I did it all by myself" and more of your actions having heavy duty results in the end of a story. I enjoy how your decisions dictate who's around for the end, but I find myself wishing it was even deeper.

I, however, would like to see an expansion like this:
You play six characters that fight at the other side of the galaxy, they are of the six major classes, provided that they survive ME1 and ME2
and after finishing one character's story, that character gets unlocked in MP

I'm pretty sure even Bungie said Master Chief's story was over with Halo 3 yet they are making a Halo 4.

I'm hoping they continue Shepard's story with possibly a fourth game, even though they said they won't.

Exactly. People would NOT. LET. IT. GO.
We can't move on. Halo is stuck being a MC centric storyline. Why can't we continue the story as The Arbiter? Or a new SPARTAN? That's why I like Reach better. No Chief. I'm tired of him. I want a new guy.

Side Note:
but i have to say that all you guys are very faithful to this franchise that it's inspiring yet saddening that Bioware doesn't give the consumer what they want. After all you're the very reason why Bioware is in existence.
Back on Topic:
1. Of course better endings and more conclusions.
2. People use games as a means to escape the everyday world (there's nothing wrong with it) and RPG's bare no exception, so i'd like more control over the outcomes.
3. I'd like to upgrade the entire design and staff of the Normandy or whatever the name of the new ship will be. While walking through the most famous ship in the galaxy i find it to be somewhat empty. I imagine myself filling out empty seats, adding more crew, even more security/soldiers seeing how the ship was invaded with collectors in previous installments. Let me hire more crew members which should obviously have some impact on conclusions. Give me the ability to add more sleeping quarters, bathrooms, heck even a place where people wash their clothes. They travel the galaxy in the same old nasty smelling gear? I'd love to play cards/games, etc, even the options to sleep, shower, eat, etc.
4. Exploring more of the worlds rather than just using them for scanning or mission related. Maybe even beyond the Milky Way as well.
5. The Citadel is a crucial part of the plot, it's such an exotic structure that loyal gamers probably want to explore more of it, well at least i do.
6. Let me buy and sell more items. The scanning of the planets in ME2 quickly became redundant, but being able to sell items to generate credit to customize and enhance the Normandy would be a welcomed addition imo.

I for one would like to see the Mako come back. it gave the first game a good sense of exploration and im sure they can improve on the landscapes and controls so it doesn't get repititive. Make the Thresher Maw battles more dynamic!
I had no problem with the shooting in any of the ME games so i say just get the right balance between more RPG mechanics but keep the fun gameplay!

Believe it or not, I would want a squeal. New aliens perhaps? New locations? There is opportunity right there.

You'd be able to play as all the bipedal humanoid races, such as the humans, turians, asari, salarians, quarians, krogan, batarians, and maybe geth.
Also, set it a while into the future, like a hundred years or so, I want all cast form ME3 to either be dead or a lot older.
