I have read the other post in here about the problem but none of them seems to work to my problem.

I have downloaded the game via Origin (2 times now), with no improval. Before i downloaded it the second time i delete my temp folder so that it would download a complete new set of install files but little did it help.

During installation, about 2 minutes in it stoppes informing me that an error occurred...

I have never experienced this error before, and have allways downloaded and installed via Origin, which is about 5-6 times now. 

Note that i have installed Mass Effect 3 first. Could this cause a problem?

Edit the note file contains this error:
Rar error: error 12 RAR process file failed: File CRC error.

My computer spent the night downloadning ME2 again from origin. When i got up it only lacked 1% but couldn't finish the download of a reason i could not define.

Anyway, i tried to ran the installer manually from the temp folder again and i went on for so long i almost thought i was there. But then at 80% in the installer it failed again. The same error in the log..

God this is annoying! Please help!

Hey... I had this issue and contacted EA support about it... they wanted me to hack my registry and all sorts of crazy and useless stuff... I found that uninstalling Origin and reinstalling it allowed me to download the game and install it with no annoying "A Data Error Occured" message... I noticed they even spell "occurred" incorrectly in the error message.

My problem started yesterday, and i have had it installed on this PC before.. For some reason uninstalling Winrar seemed to work.... God knows why

After the third time i downloaded it, it suddenly would install without problems.. ?!?!?!?! Jeeses christ......

I get the same error. And uninstalling Winrar doesnt work ;o)

Being a bit slow, how do I delete the game from Origin so I can try downloading it again?

Edit: I found it! Heres hoping I'll get lucky and get it installed )
