I dont know if there is anoth topic out there like this. but i wonder why leliana is so diffrent in the sacred ash trailer there she is more of a hardcore, fight to death, in the makers name, girl if you get my point but in the game she is more uhh pretty colors, i love shoes, lets go shopping ?? why is she not more like the sacred ash trailer  ?

I think you can "harden" her after the Marjolaine quest.

And she does say that part of her enjoys killing.

Because Sacred ashes characters were based on early concept art. Morrigan looks like ****e for instance.

You see what 2 seconds of her in a fight...I suppose the answer is that in the game you get to see more of her depth....

Trailer was an earlier tempting tidbit, and if you notice Sten and Morigan are also different. Sten looks more like a certain former QB for the Bears, in the trailer.

However, that being said, if you develop the in game Liliana along those lines, she becomes much more effective and ruthless in battle. But the story lines remain.

Which is ok. You have this soft sensitive side to a chick that can slit a throat and pin an enemy without batting an eyelash.

Set her up to use arrow of slaying with poisoned arrows, and the result is quite good. Scattershot the same way has a big impact on rushing enemies as well.

Very much so. She's the only one that's better in the cinematic though. Morrigan is horrible and Sten looks funny.

Yeah, me too. I also think Morrigan looks a lot better in the trailer. Even Sten's look is more refined. 
The Grey Warden looks like a jerk though.

Blur, they are pretty much responsible for most high end game promo cinematics. It's usually only blizzard who do their own inhouse. But everything is based upon concept art from Bioware, so that point is moot.

Really wish she was more like the trailer. Would like her much more. Came across as more edgy than nutjob.

She has like 2 lines of dialogue in the trailer. Otherwise it's just fancy cinematics in her combat style...

To me this is like asking why Sten can't push 12 darkspawn over any ledges. It's not like the ashes trailer = 100% of Leliana's personality.

Just because she seems more badass in the trailer is completely based on a skewed perspective. By the same token, if I only let you hear Leliana's darker lines from the game itself, you wouldn't think there was a discrepancy.

I think it's Templar rather. Seems to me that the PC in the trailer is a templar / champion.
But yea, the glowing eyes were unnecessary and a bit too much.

I liked the Lelianna with the darker hair and make up more too so I was dissapointed that she looks less dark like in the game

The Grey Warden in that Trailer reminds me of James Purefoy (Rome). Which is awesome.

Yeah I was really disappointed when I met the real Lilliana. I'll be interested to see what she's like when she's hardened.
