Yeah, I had a kind of similar experience when Samara indicated she would join. But she meant the whole crucible project, not the ship...

Upon first meeting kei leng (before knowing his name) i had completely convinced myself that he was Keiji the ninja thief and former lover of kasumi (not really dead)....Then they were going to add Kasumi to the crew and make her an LI.....

Hey Kasumi is good but (suprisingly) Vega is also pretty good.

From Bioware's point of view, I guess they couldn't justify adding so many ME2 characters when they might have died in the previous game. They were already having to write and record both Ashley and Kaidan when one of them was definitely dead, and then Garrus and Tali might not actually have made it either.

Well, since I knew who the crew would be going in and that most of our ME2 squad would only show up for one mission I expected that they'd add to the war assets instead of being on the Normandy.

I can see a thousand uses for someone who can cloak, teleport and 1 shot a lot of stuff in ME2 especially if you're not an infiltrator

i uh....hate kasumi...rather see zaeed...or jacob. pretty much anybody but miranda or kasumi.

I liked the Vega character, however after you have spent 50-100 hours in developing relationships with other characters... Vegas comes off as a throw from the far left field. Odd and misplaced, though not horrible. A stranger in a strange land if you will.
