when/how can I send Ash, Garrus and Tali to be war assets?
anyone knows? because I'm seeing a lot of people complainingof coming up short in EMS
how much are they worth in EMS?

You can't, as far as I know.
3500'ish is fairly easy to get in single player, your easiest way past that is to just bump it up through multiplayer. Which is actually pretty fun.
If that is just offensive to you, though, then need to do a little research on the 'right' choices to make along the line so you can eek everything out of the single player campaign.

I'm stuck at 6505 EMS even with 100% GR and every WA assembled.

MP is Vile for me...and I am pretty sure you can use them as war Assets

Ash turned into a war asset for me after I romanced her in ME1, but told here we would just see what happened (aka broke up) in 3. When she got spectre status I had a bright blue button that would get her on my ship, the other 2 would make her a war asset, which I did.
I complete the game with 5340 or something, few items not turned in and the elkor homeworld not visited. only had 50 war readiness though, so 2670 end score. With that I only got to choose 2 endings. Synthesis was not among the options
wonder what the tresholds are for unlocking more options.
Things I could have scored better points: Salarians were pissed off, I did not safe the council in ME1 and destroyed the genophage research in ME2 so no krogan female for me after tuchanka. Ow and mordin was dead in ME2, besides that all my choises turned out to be right. Had about 8 or so item missions left.
