Actually I think she probably is, and yes it really is that wacky with Asari.  Liara tells you in ME1 that physical contact may or may not part of the mating meld, but it isn't essential, and I think that's what Liara did with Shep just before he left...a mating meld so she would have a daughter that would reflect the best of Shep since she knew that she would never see him (or her) again.

I got this same feeling...like I know she mentioned mind melding as their way of having kids. I didn't realize this is what I was agreeing to which could be why Shep thought of her before he died in my playthrough instead of his LI of Tali...She raped me...mentally...and sexually...sexually mind raped me.

If they include something like that in the extended cut it would be beutiful. I dont think it will happen. But as Liara has been my fav LI in all 3 games I feel really attached, it would make me do happy to see a small scene with Liara standing with a child. Shepard's child....

I do not think, that BioWare would implement such thing. Why should they, since we won´t get any sequel?
Besides, Tali and her knife would had something to say to Liara.

When I was playing the game I thought this was the case. Is Liara at the Matron stage of Asari life yet? She is really young for an Asari. I don't know if they ever explained if it was restricted by their age. Only that they have their children during the Matron stage of life.

lol.  Unless FemShep knocks up Liara, FemShep won't be having any babies.  If she does get pregers (by Kaidan since she can't by Garrus or Traynor), well damn that sucks .

It only needs to happen in the official cannon.

Who says they are not doing sequel? That can easilly be done.
