Why do people keep thinking this? I was under the impression that asari can choose whether melding results in reproduction. Unless you don't like Liara, that gift scene is a pretty touching one which kind of gets marred when you start hearing "Liara raped me!"

I mean, unless you're in a romance and were hoping she'd get pregnant. That's another story.

There are 2 realy "personal" scenes with Liara which feel just awkward and out of place, if you do not romance her and there is also the flashback at the end. It seems Shepard does not give a **** for her/his ME2/ME3 LIs.

I suspected as much as soon as the melding began.... Being that she was my ex, how dedicated and in love I know she is to Shepard, and the fact that she had to sit back and watch another woman take her place, I felt it wasthe lease I could do...Let have something out of all of this if she can't have my Shepard.
Also, nothing sexual happen, Asari breeding and sex are too different thing. Saying it's rape is like say someone took your dna and clone you is rape.

Who says they are not doing sequel? That can easilly be done.

If EA thinks there's money in a sequel, Casey and Mac will be brushed aside and a sequel will be made. That's how the industry works.

Liara. The Asari is always the mother.

Sheperd definitely has desirable traits that the Asari will require to rebuild their civilization. Definitely worthy of adding to the Asari gene pool.

Liara would be the one.  Femshep would still need to do it the old fashion way which liara couldn't do.

Who says they are not doing sequel? That can easilly be done.

If you think that then you have no imationation....Think about a game that takes place close to the end of the galactic dark age, that after many generation of rebuilding and restoring the mass relays, distance part ofthe galaxy that where divided start coming together......But at the same time the Yagh discover space travel at an alarming rate and laso learn how to rebuild the mass relays themselves.....The uninfication of the relays also opens the galexy to the expanding Yagh empire......And thus the a new trilogy begins with a galactic cival war. Everyone verse the Yahg and their slaves.

Well, the box itself, was not the problem. The dialog and the atmosphere just felt wrong, if you don´t have any interest in her.
I have a save, in wich I romanced Liara and the whole scene is great IF she is your LI.
About the fact to preserve Shepard´s essence in a Asari baby, well maybe I would have considered it, if she just had asked me, but I don´t like the thought, that she just took Shepard´s DNA.
Dunno, it just feel like cheeting on your LI.

EDIT:
If i recall correctly, the developers said, that they are currently planning only on doing prequals. Of course, this can change, but I doubt, that the majority of the fans are interested in an sequel with the ending of ME3.

Yeah, I didn't like the flashback defaulting back to Liara for my Garrus romance.  Oops, if you didn't romance the VS or Liara then you obviously don't care about anyone else.  My Shepard even tells Garrus that she loves him.  She must have *really* loved Liara instead, by proof of her last thought before she died.

How did you cheat....You had no sex. Breeding and sex are two diffent things. It would be like say some cheats on their wife if they donate there sperm.

Breeding with someone hints at intimacy, even if asari reproduction doesn't require sex.  If she wanted Shepard's DNA, she could have asked first.  Really, making a baby with someone ON PURPOSE without telling them is kind of creepy especially if your Shepard isn't in a romance with her.

As I said, it ´s just what it feel like for me. I´am no expert on Asari reproduction, but the melting process is a very personal action, atleast for me.
Besides, the Reapers are defeated, is there any need for an Asari Shepard?
Sure, many things will go to hell, after the ME3 ending, but the people must learn to handel this problems by themself and not hope for The Shepard as a survivour, who will turn everything to an good outcome.

Well it would most certainly feel wrong if she secretly impregnated herself in that last moment while my LI was Tali. I don't think she would do that to Shepard.
