Well, Liara's dialogue in ME1 make it clear that her culture considers melding a very important, personal act.  Hence why she hasn't done it in 100 years.

Exacatly,(You do know I posted the vid stating that in this topic, right?) to her it's something deep and spiritual to be shared with some one she cares for andit's made clear in ME that she love Shepard reguardless if she romanced him/her or not...She care deeply for Shepard, which is why she want to do the meld at the end of the game.

We ourselve never discuse this issuse among ourselves in regular conversation. And arguement like this would happen in a court case or philosophy class. I just find it hard to believe that an entire race that prefers mating with other species would be unaware of how these other species view morality in breeding.  I also would hope that in the future humans would be more open in talking about their sexuality.

If EC does include this Liara impregnation thing with her gift, I really hope it only applies to Liaramancers.  Otherwise it would feel like a huge violation of trust for my Shepard who didn't romance her, even if Liara wasn't aware of breeding morality of humans.  Garrus would also have a word with her... 
 I doubt Bioware would do this, unless they really want to cement Liara as the true "canon" romance once and for all.  Didn't romance her?  Too bad, she still has a baby with you...

I'm not sure if she did, but it completely wouldn't surprise me if she had regardless of Shepard's relationship status.

Liara never was all that independent of Shepard.

Than you still not getting the concept of morality vs morality...What is the baleif of this with the other races? Is how they feel about this? What is their ideal with breeding? You don't know it nor has it been explained in detail. You can only speak for humans, not of other races. Understand this when your making your arguement.

I get the point you are trying to make. Morality is relative and Liara isn't violating Shepard because asari don't view breeding in the same way humans do.

It doesn't mean I have to like it, nor should any Shepard that didn't romance her. It still feels like a violation of trust, even of Liara thought she was doing the right thing by carrying Shepard's legacy. My Shepard wanted to start a family with Garrus (they actually talked about it), not Liara.

Asari only have children during their Matron stage, and there are ways to accelerate the change from Maiden to Matron.

Miranda: can't have kids.
Jack: can't have kids
Ashley: May have kids
Tali: can't have them with Shep.

If this gift is in the form of a little blue girl then is fair, because Liara has been in love with Shepard since day 1, and everyone can have little blue girls with her even if they don't know about it.

Liara is that one obsessed friend that wants to have your children and would trick you into "sex" with a puntured condom just to have your kid, there is a character like that in a manga called D-ASH and that manga is awesome.

The way you say it makes it sound waaaay creepier than the way I envisionned it..

Asari are well aware of the moral codes of other races, they just regard asari moral codes as superior.

I had thought (or maybe hoped) that Liara was different.  But it looks like I might have been wrong.
