I just trolled the game by cloaking, hiding, cloaking hiding, Oh look time to hit the button! *Cloak run*

Little did I know that the game was going to epicly troll me back 10 minutes later.

Except that it WASN'T a final boss fight of any kind. You weren't supposed to kill them or even defend anything against them. You just had to survive a set amount of time.

Meaning that you were supposed to run around in circles instead of fight. Yeah, WHAT A GREAT FINALE.

Nah, I think this level was actually kinda cool.

But in the end you must bring a very powerful party or storm your way to the button... I falied once, because I get surrounded by three banshees, a lot of Marauders, no squadmates, the reaper laser and no medigel.

Just use the Forrest Gump strategy (run, run, run) and that part is cupcake.

Defending the missiles was a cakewalk for my Sentinel on hardcore. Oh, you have barriers/Armor? Welcome to Warp+Reave/Throw spam.

I did get a little frustrated there and in one other spot in the game when the places I decided to shore up in kept turning out to be enemy spawn spots. Find a nice corner to sit in cover in and suddenly mobs are spawning on your back, sigh.

Vanguard here. That was a rough fight, if only because I was using a charge-centric build and charging banshees is generally regarded as A Bad Idea.

Also, none of the troops have reaper beam immunity - after a few deaths I figured out the path they follow, and ended up torching three of them in the beam. That really helped out.

they all have reaper beam immunity, I can confirm this by watching it hit them numerous times.

they all have reaper beam immunity, I can confirm this by watching it hit them numerous times.


I too can confirm, on insanity, that Banshees can and will wander through the beam unscathed, teleport up to you, and feel around inside your stomach.

Huh. I didn't play on Insanity, and I watched them melt into goo when the beam blew through them. Maybe it's a difficulty level thing?
