I thought he's supposed to act surprised? Well... he didn't even mention the peace I had of them working together.
Ending - Got to the Guardian and had Quar-Geth peace but no mention of it.

And no, I don't care that you don't like the ending, I'm just confused why he didn't "express surprise" as others said he would.

Still curious if anyone managed to get peace and have the Guardian recognize it like people were saying happened.

I don't actually remember.

Nope, just another example of how weak the ending was.

Remind me again who's the Guardian?

Yes well... welcome to Mass Effect turning on it's head to become about determinism and futility.

The Guardian is the holographic representation of the child.
Pimpin stop insulting the endings, if you're too ignorant and dull to understand the lore and codex entries and why what happened actually did, then fine, otherwise, stop.

I was wondering that too, I kept wanting to be like What do you mean synthetics and organics can't coexist? Look at the Geth and the Quarians, finally having ended a war that lasted centuries!!!
I never had the Guardian mention it either.

Uh-huh. Me and the other 95% of the fanbase (see the polls) are all ignorant and dull. It's not like the endings could actually be bad or anything.Aesieru wrote...

Sorry but he's right, I've read everything and the ending is just total and utter fail... like really bad fail. I got the "good" ending with Shep living too but none of it makes sense, it's contrived and your "sacrafice" is a vapid attempt at altruism that rings hollow when your sacrafice screws everything up anyway.

Ah I thought he was called the Catalyst. Yes now that I've noticed it it only left a bad taste in my mouth.

And the geth and quarians became allies...when? Oh, this year. I'm sure that's a foundation of the most strong stone. *eye roll*
What convinces the Catalyst isn't the geth/quarian peace - which is super short-term and proves nothing to a being of possibly many millions of years. What convinces him is the construction of the Crucible, which is outright designed to require the co-operation of many cycles' information and in this cycle, all of its races and resources. The Catalyst is seeking how organics can *create* without *utter destruction*. It's why it suggests not Destroy (an organic solution) or Control (Catalyst's original solution), but Synthesis, after exposure to Shepard.
Who do you think started the plans on the Crucible? It wasn't this cycle, and it actually wasn't the Prothians... it was likely the Catalyst's original race. They were likely far, far more advanced than the Prothians and even the Reapers (possibly which use a crude and half done form of the tech, relatively speaking), were nearly wiped out by synthetics, and created this 'experiment' to save the galaxy from itself..
Of course it isn't all explaned yet. This is Shepard's and the Reapers' story, overall. And it has ended. But they also need a springboard to work off of, and the Catalyst and its choices offer that.
(Or we can go with the other theory, that the Reapers are the original synthetic menace, which were defeated and repurposed into this galaxy cycle nightmare as unwitting 'slaves'. This stuff is an unknown..so far.)
