After finishing (with the synthesis ending) I cried for about a half an hour.

Not because it was sad, which it was, but because the happy ending where Shepard stays with his LI and lives a happy life doesn't exist. I panicked, and checked both the forums and the guide to see if there was such an ending. There isn't one.

I haven't been able to eat since then. I might be overreacting, but I've been waiting since Mass Effect 1 to have this ending with Liara. The fact that its not possible is killing me. Even if Shepard lives, all synthetics die and the squad is stranded beyond Shepard's reach. I honestly have not been sadder than I am right now.

I didn't cry but was very ticked off, disappointed, and depressed. So I took my pain and am still venting on the forums...very cathartic :)

I don't think it's an overreaction at all. When a series makes you invest five years of time into it, and does an excellent job with it's story, characters, etc, and then have it end like this, it's devastating. I'm quite depressed and angry myself.

The tears fuel EA evil machine, dont worrie though they will release a 20 buck dlc to give you one of three random endings, you can even unlock the same ending twice that makes it level up as well >.>

I liked the synth ending but i didnt know the other two would be cookie cutter endings so i was pissed when i beat the game for a second time...over a 1000 hours between me1 and me2 all that time just feels like a waste now with knowin all three endings are the game same but diffrent colors :/

I cried about how illogical the endings were. How did the Normandy go from fighting the reapers in the Sol system to traveling in some random mass relay and then crash into some random planet? I'm confused.

And oh by the way, why was Vega on the ship when I had him out with me when we went to the Citadel?

By the time I got to the endings I was all out of tears (Legion, Thane, and especially Mordin squeezed them all out of me--Grunt had me going for a moment, too).

Basically, I bawled like a baby when my team died (Mordin and Thane foreverrrr). Legion was just adding salt to the wound. Grunt had me hanging by a thread. I teared up FAR more than I expected to which is crazy since I can't honestly think of a game/movie/book/whatever that has made me cry.

By completion, I was more ticked off than anything which doesn't warrant tears for me. But even without crying, I know there are plenty of others who share your feelings. Myself included.

I don't NEED a super duper happy, everyone lives ending, that's unreasonable, but I'd have rather it played out differently including some sort of nod to what we've accomplished besides "And so Joker and whoever the hell you dragged with you in that last mission survived the end."

Cried?, not really....Pissed off?, nope....just empty, so very very empty. 40+ hours later and I'm still trying to process just how bad I think the ending of my all time favorite video game franchise is. It's a sad day to be a Mass Effect fan.

The endings are already being discussed in several other threads in this forum. please take your discussion to one of them. Thank you.

End of line.
