Hey everyone I could use some help right now please.

Before I start I'll say I haven't completed the game yet.. 10 hours in.

Okay, so. I romance Liara in ME1, stayed faithful in ME2 then romance Liara in LotSB DLC. Now in ME3, Liara asked me if I was still interested and I said yes. I've talked to her pretty much after every mission but I've missed some. I've talked to her on the Citadel once. Now she asked to speak about something in Shep's cabin. I invited her up but for those who romanced Liara, I didn't get the option to be "more than friends" as says IGNs romance guide. She just says "Your a good friend" and Shep answers "You've been there for me too"

Now since that cabin scene I have convinced Liara to talk to her father on the Citadel and she (Liara's father, don't know how to spell name) refered to my Shep as Liara's "boyfriend".

So my question is, I haven't started looking at IGNs romance guide untill about 5 minutes ago and it says that I need to talk to Liara after every mission (which I didn't... I'd say most missions, some times I just do 3 - 4 missions in a row without seeing anyone) and that in the cabin scene I have to tell Liara I want to be more than friends..

So did I screw up? Do I have to restart the whole game? I'm 10 hours in and my next "priority" mission is "Priority: Tuchanka" to go cure the genophage. So if someone can let me know if I screwed up and if I did, where? That be great. I really don't want to have to restart the whole game..

Sounds like you did everything right. When you gave the "more than friends" answer on the citadel, you triggered the Romance flag for ME3 (I know because I got the Paramour achievement that way on my game for ME3). Just before you hit the Cerberus main base, you and Liara will get some "personal" time together.

Then AFAIK you didn't rekindle the romance.  I believe when you talk with Liara in the Citadel and she says she considers you a friend, you have to take the "more than friends" answer at which point the two of you start necking.

Where is Liara when you talk to her on the Citadel.  If she is next to the cafe, there is another convo with Liara on the Citadel where she is on the other end near some shops looking at the park.  That is where you get the romance achievement and it locked in.  You should get messages from Kaidan, Garrus, Javik, Liara, and I forget (didn't have Tali) who else about meeting them for some down time with them on the Citadel.

when do her conversation trigger and when do I need to talk to her on the citadel? I talked to her there once but it was all about business and her not taking time for herself

The first time is all business and she is acting as the "Shadow Broker".  However a bit later, she will invite you to meet her in the Presidium Commons to relax.  Take her up on that offer and meet her there.  You should be able to trigger the romance if you otherwise qualify.

yeah but "when" does it trigger? After which mission? I did surkesh and nothing yet maybe I am just too early in the game

I am several hours in I am just being ultra thorough to get all possible assets and whatnot

I did everything, and I still didn't have 4000 total (8000 actual)
