I played my first playthrough without realizing that I ended up supporting D. On my second I veered and supported K. Does anyone know which one gives the best rewards? Or can you play both sides? To my knowledge they both seem to be rogues that are at each others throats so there really is no morality issues here.

I think no matter what you do, you end up being sent to kill K at the end. I think the missions are all pretty much straight forward as are until then.

No, on my second playthrough I didn't complete one of D's quests and K ended up giving me a quest to kill D. Its the order you complete their quests that generates different ending.

No, you are both wrong. You can do all the quests in both chains except for the last one. If you complete the quest "New Ground" for "K", then the quest "Harsh Decisions" from "D" will be removed, and of course it works the other way around. You have to chose if you wish to kill K or D in the end.

So, do we have any idea who "K" or "D" are? Is there anyway to even guess? Does it really matter which one you support? *ponders*
I also wonder in the back of my mind if "R" isn't Arl Rendon Howe, using the Love Letters to extort support from those nobles who do/will support him, and thus Logain?

I'm more wondering if I can kill both of them.

I think there's one more quest in K's line, or D's are easier to complete, because I only just found the option to kill D the other day on my fourth playthrough and I'm reasonably thorough. I suspect the "Safe Passage" quest is somehow the culprit, since I've always completed it quickly (and subsequently been attacked) and this is the one game where I didn't.

Yup, thats the one. Don't complete that one before completing K's quests chain up to the point he asks to kill D, I think.

Its not Safe passage.
Once you finish Safe Passage a new quest for D comes up that if you accept that one K comes to to kill you.

Yeah, but if you do 'Safe Passage' you don't seem to get any more quests from K, including the ones to incriminate D.
