First lets start with some of the high points of the game: The Final Battle cinematic, curing the genophage (even though mording dies), uniting the geth and quarians on rannoch.... aaaaaannnd.... yeah that about covers it.

For a game that I have been waiting for, for so long. After creating 10+ completed characters on both mass effect 1 and mass effect 2, I am utterly disgusted.

For starters this game shouldn't have been released yet, not even close. There or more bugs in this game than in all the elder scrolls put together.
*Constant Freezing
*Dialogue cutting out (better hope you have subtitles if you wanna know what is going on)
*Characters disappearing in conversations so you are just looking at empty space talking.
*Getting stuck and having to restart all over the place
*Terrible issues with imports
*Bugged romances
*Framerate issues in some parts of the game
*Bugs galore in multiplayer one of the worst is when you can't complete a wave because some enemy is stuck and can't be killed, another is when the next wave just doesn't start. (both of these make you just have to quit losing all the time you just spent getting to wave 9 or 10 if that happens to be where you are at.)
*As a Vanguard I noticed that sometimes charge just doesn't work you have to press charge multiple times before it charges (and no they weren't somewhere i couldn't charge they wouldn't move and neither would I and eventually I would charge)
*Clipping issues (ie Ashley in hospital bed)

These are just the bugs I ran into... and I'm usually pretty lucky about not getting bugs.

Then we can talk about conversations.... wtf.. is .. this...  Lots of auto dialogue, i suppose catering to the shooter crowd?

The story in the middle was ok I suppose, at times it was epic like when curing the genophage, at times it was just dragging, but for the most part it was just "meh".

And since I just can't wait to rant anymore (even though I feel like I'm forgetting stuff)... the endings. I've got huge problems with it and I'm so pissed that is why I decided to write this anyway. To split it into three parts, lack of variety, space magic and ... well I'll just call it "huh?".

1. The endings are pretty much the same except whether the reapers are destroyed controlled or merged. The ****ty part it nothing you did in earlier games decides it. Its not hard to get Merge (the best ending) so basically the whole game boils down to 1 decision walk agonizingly slow left, right, or middle. And then relays are destroyed, citadel is destroyed, the normandy is stranded. Then sheperd is either alive(which belongs in HUH? and space magic to I suppose), dead (space magic much?), or without a body controling the reapers.... ahuh not sure what to say about that so I'm just gonna leave it alone.

2. Space Magic- You just fundamentally altered the DNA of every living creature in the galaxy after jumping in an energy beam (wtf?) and emitting a pulse of green energy? Do you think I am stupid bioware? And not only that but everyone is instantly effected by said dna change?

In destroy you destroy every synthetic lifeform with... wait for it a pulse of energy. Only this one is red. How? How is this energy pulse supposed to differentiate from sythetics and... well everything else. Also after the citadel is destroyed shepherd takes a breath back on earth? He was just in a space station as it exploded already damn near dead falls to earth buried in a pile of rubble and somehow he is alive??!?!

3. HUH? First, your squad ended up on the normandy somehow? Also say for example the merge ending, nothing is harmed in the green light.... except the normandy for some inexplicable reason it causes the Normandy to crash while being harmless (if you considered being synthesized without you permission harmles) to everything else in the galaxy? Third, why is the normandy all by itself at FTL speeds? Why is it not at earth.... you know where EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ELSE IS. Fourth, why are the relays destroyed if you take control... i mean seriously that makes zero sense. Fifth, the reapers are controlled and given their purpose by an AI that likes to take the form of a human child (least I think it's an AI) and if it is not an AI but some past alien that did what shepherd does in the control ending... why is assuming the shape of a human child? Then this said AI decides that to save organics from being killed by synthetics ... we should grind them up and make them into reapers..... /facepalm. Also seeing as you can have the geth as well as edi assisting you in killing the reapers... why would this AI still think it is right. Shouldn't you be able to convince it that it is wrong.... and have it call of the reapers? Also... how does the citadel get to earth? I didn't see any engines on that monstrosity. Oh I forgot reapers = :wizard:

Other things that are annoying. No rachni... say you save the rachni queen all you get is a few workers.... in the time that you built the MASSIVE crucible the rachni couldn't build a ship or two? In the final battle nobody has thanix cannons? Why? The volus dreadnaught description even says it has them. With those theoretically you could just built up forces (screw the deus e.... I mean Crucible) equip them with thanix cannons, solaris armor etc And go toe to toe with the reapers... I mean you wiped out a collector vessel a good 20 times your size with two shots from the normandy.... yet we pretty much ignore that part. With the reapers guns playing field becomes
much more even.

And I'm done ranting i think

TL:DR Dear Bioware, please at least use lube next time.

Huh. I loved the game. While the Normandy thing was a giant WTF moment, I think everything before and after that was extremely well done. The Normandy's new location represented people moving on and starting a new life, a life without the Reapers and the destruction they bring. Could it have been done better? Sure. Was it still a suitable ending for a series that was so over-hyped that the ending wouldn't satisfy most people anyway (short of it curing cancer IRL)? Yeah, I think so.

...now we just wait for someone to call me a "Bio****" and claim that I'm getting paid to say this.
