free the galaxy of reaper control forever. My military strength was about 80% 4,456
-I blew up the collector base and killed the original rachni queen
-I romanced ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2
-Ashley was seriously injured for 1/4 of my game. After hearing ashley speak of miranda and her telling me that she was a real person with flaws and all. I saw a toughness in ashley. So I told her we would "try" to work things out.
-I told miranda that I had moved on, but after seeing that cutscene with tears in her eyes. I had to replay that convo and choose to romance miranda. I knew ashley was strong and she would be okay so I initiated the convo with her again and this time around I told her that we would try to work things out. Then I told her that she left me on horizon in ME2. This left my options open to be with miranda, but to be a very good friend to ashley. Without ashley being ticked off.
I really enjoyed the aspect of being in a romance with cerberus's second in command still and the funny secret meetings for intel and other things that took place in the game.
-I united the asari, quarians, geth, salarians, krogans, and the turians.
-I trusted the new rachni queen or whatever it was, which turned out to be a huge mistake with the crucible.
-I had zaaed's mercenary groups, and aria's mercenary groups backing me.
-I was a paragon who had the support of all the races in the galaxy.
-I only did priority, cerberus, and N7 missions. All of these were great with awsome enviroments and gameplay.
-I did a total of three scans in my whole campaign. 1). Blackmarket artifact needed for mercenary groups unification, 2). 2 others which were no count. 3). I gave up on wasting my time scanning and focused solely on the missions to gather support for my army.
Bioware has put such detail into making you truly care about your crews outcome. Like miranda's scene where you tell her that she is not a part of your future anymore and seeing how ashley is stronger to overcome such a choice. The collector base general face when its being destroyed.
My favorite aspects of this entire series are
#1 Any convo's with a reaper (Virmire facility) and prothean VI (Ilos). Collector base reaper talking and arrival conversation with a reaper. Next up would definately be the big bang from the alpha relay in the arrival and outrunning the massive explosion for the collector base. I absolutely loved these conversations and scenes.
#2 Understanding my crew and really getting to know ashley and other crew members. Seeing things from miranda's perspective and getting to know her, plus understanding the illusive man's organization and motives. Whe he told his assassin to kill ashley I wanted to kill him from then on. Then after seeing what he did to ashley I wanted to kill him, but upon meeting him in conduit I tried to reason with him. To make him open his eyes and give him a chance to change. He did, but I was still furious that he gave the kill order on one of my favorite crew members. Assisting my crew in various matters and having a really strong trust from engineers to janitors to cooks aboard my vessel.
So now some questions....
If I do a replay with ashley dying on virmire will Miranda become a permanent squad member?
I was disappointed with how few interactions there was with her. I already know that if I reversed it and went with telling miranda I wasn't interested anymore that her plot would stop. I wouldn't get to save oriana and I wouldn't get to help her at those times when she needed me like my last playthru.
I'm just wondering if there was more to miranda's story than what I saw, if I would have taken another path. We meet on the citadel, we exchanged emails, we had secret meetings for intel and other things, we spoke over long range communications, and finally we had a very long heartfelt final conversation before the final push for the conduit, before I chose to sacrafice myself to destroy the reapers for all races.
I was excepting a view at each of my crew members lives after the reaper threat was gone, but to my suprise I was disappointed eventhough I loved the endings to the other two games. My ending was pure BS
Joker, James, and Liara crashed the normandy and only those three emerged. Now the really confusing part to me is. James was with me and ashley when the whole squad was wiped out less than 50 feet from the conduit.
I saw him and ashley dead on the ground, but in my end cutscene I saw him emerge from the normandy with joker and liara. This makes no sense, because I focused on miranda, ashley, joker, edi, and garrus thru many conversations. So everybody that I put strong emphasis into various conversations died.
How did james get on the normandy when he was with me and ashley on the main battlefield. Why wasn't ashley there too? The first thing I did after the reaper beam cut our whole platoon down was walk over and try to revive ashley. Then I tried to revive james, but he was dead too. Now you may ask why and it has nothing to do with romance, remember I was only a really good friend to ashley in ME3. It has to do with her loyalty and all that she has sacraficed or done for my shepard in the mass effect series. So after everything I just wanted to see that she survived against the odds, even if I didn't live thru it. Knowing that miranda survived made ashley's death easier to swallow, because atleast one of my two favorite characters lived. I enjoyed all three games, but my ending to me3 made me sad.
