Now than, i played and enjoyed every Bioware game, i have all of them at home and i am big fan of your work. I played both Mass Effect 1 and 2 several times so i know alot about that game, but still these are just my opinions so no trolling please. I cant say i didnt enjoy ME 3 or that it wasnt good, it was but still, this is the first time EVER, in my career as a gamer (
Now down to busines, first off i would like to start with saying that i really dont understand the act of delaying the game for three days for Europe.. im sure u have some perfectly acceptable reason but it was just... u know what i mean.
Now that this is out of the way lets get to the real stuff.
Liara... I have romanced her from ME 1, find her compeling and very nicely done character, in all games. I heard all the talks about how you are going to make the romances complete and how are you going to award being faitful and whatnot, where is it? I mean, i wasnt expecting that much, since the Liara romance subplot was fairly completed in LoSB DLC but man, we see each other after a few months and its all gone? She has to ask me again if i want her and again i have to wait for the end of game for something important to happen? No plans, no talks and whatnot, i had her in my team the entire game and i had only like three talks (not counting the comments and speeches u cant really infulence) Just want to say that this was a bit of dissapointing, especially since she was the only romance really kept in both previous ME´s, just thought that there will be some more closure.
Companions in general. I also read that u will have less companions in ME3 in order to have more personal relations with them and share their stories more and whatnot, when i read this i was really glad, not that i didnt like ME2 but the number of companions was a bit overwhelming, and i didnt like them nearly as much as companions from ME1 (except those who were in both obviously) but than again, i guess i missed most of their stories or something, because except for Garus i didnt really feel that they were all that much in the story...but ofc thats just me, im always up for more talking and decisions than really shooting things.
Now that i mentioned shooting things, is it just me or are the missions really shorter then before? I mean, most of the side quests are on citadel, or u know, scanning, nothing bad with that but it just shoots me that most of the areas with actuall combat are made for multiplayer, which means they are quite small. I just went in there, shoot a few, and really just a few cerberus guys and went away...The side missions in ME 2 were almost the same, but there was much more of them imo.
Now one really interesting thing, im not usually a person who complains on controls and whatnot i get used to alot of things really quickly but WHO THE HELL made sprint/cover/roll on one key? I mean, did u even play any games before u did this? Its horrible, i died number of times because my Shep rolled instead of covering, jumped over a cover instead of rolling and so on... just a bad move.
Other than that i really enjoyed the gameplay, smooth and nice, everything bioware like
Now to the ending itself, i understand that there must be more endings that just the ones i got, depending on alot of stuff (or i hope there is) but the general idea is in all of them the same i bet.
Now this is where i got really dissapointed. When i got ported onto the citadel i was trembling, cuz i knew that this is it. I easily forgot the fact that most of my party members just werent there in the fight, i didnt even see them, wasnt contacted by them in any ways and so on. But than this, im generally fond of magical endings and higher beings and whatnot and i can understand the idea behind the child. But the endings themselfs were just wierd, they didnt explain anything, no closure, just more questions. Not to mention that the endings differ mostly only in the color of the wave. What the hell is Joker doing? why is he going somewhere? Why, if everyone on earth is now celebrating they would go into mass relay and just go away? Where is the fleet? What happens on earth? And why the hell on the planet where joker lands are only the companions u used in your party? is the rest of them dead?
I mean cmon, u have absolutely no idea what the hell happened to anyone or anything. U just see joker and normandy running and landing on random planet, wtf? Maybe its just me, but i dont get it. Its not really that bad, the music and everything is nice, i just dont understand the intention. What i miss in the ending is epilogue, like in DA Origins was, all of our choices were explained, we got closure, we knew what happened and what changed and everything. Here im just in the dark.
Not to mention, that anything that uv done in previous games doesnt seem to have any kind of impact, yeah on the forces sure, but what does it really do for the ending? It seems bad either way. I want my shepard to survive, i want him to go back to earth and Thessia with Liara and just enjoy, i want to know he get that chance, this is just very dissapointing
Than again i thing i get the gud in the end, not a bad touch, but id prefer more explanation then the "legend" of Shepard thingy.
So no im not satisfied with the ending and i do hope u will offer some explanations in DLCs or some other way.
Still i wudnt have done half the job u did, im not here to tell you what u did right or wrong, its just my opinion, thanks for all the fun hours i gave us
Now, brainstorm, please some of your opinions and explanations and thoughts and whatnot
