I am getting a consistent stuttering while attempting to play ME3.  Its so bad i havent gotten past the first shooting sequence, where anderson keeps giving you hell about not being able to shoot.

I have turned all settings off, brought the resolution down to 800x600, still exactly the same stuttering as at 1680x1050 with AA on and anisotropic filtering up to 8x.

System specs:
Q6600 2.4 quad core
3gig ram
nvidia 9800gt 1gb
running windows xp
video drivers are up to date.. version 295.73
those meet or exceed recommended specs, no reason why i cant get more than 10-15 fps.

XP isnt really a good option for multi cpu and high vram gpu for gaming, yes itll work but not to it optimum, that 1gb of vram is affecting your 3gig of system ram, so your hitting too many buffers, hence your stutters

hmm try switching off origin in game. go to origin, use the cog wheel to get to setting menu, click settings, go to in game tab, turn off in game origin. This fixed the stuttering for me and quite a few other people as well.

You called it sahadeva, just needed to turn off origin in game.. thanks. Looked through the forums and on some search engines, never saw anyone talking about that. Oh well, just means i get a playthrough in before the new comp =D

Thank you very much, now the game works fine for me!
My system is above the recommended requirements but I wasn't able to play the game smoothly until finding your post and trying your fix! Thanks again man!

Thanks man, I had some light studdering occassionally on my fairly powerful machine and now it is gone. But why would Bioware let something like Origin slow down their games? Peoples experience is suffering because of it...

Thanks! The stuttering made the final couple hours of the game absolutely unbearable.
