Still entertainment for $3/hour is a better rate than you get in most places and in most games where 8-10 seems sadly common place now.

it just makes me mad that they charge for content that should be free

We need more games like this but sadly more and more people seem content to buy games that only offer 8 hours gametime so there's less incentive for developers to make them - Bioware and Bethesda are the last two remaining I think.

Maybe if you didn't skip all the side quests, all the dialog, follow a walkthrough, and played on casual, the game would have taken longer... just a thought.

Well why I'm impressed by your supper mutant time compression talents I don't think bioware can be held responsible, if you completed this in 20 hours you must be able to finish most other games in under 2.
Honestly I can't imagine how you could finish this game even ignoring most side quests, auto leveling, skipping all dialog that you can and not looting anything, I still think it would take more than 20 hours. I haven't finished yet and this is the biggest game I've played in years.
I find it very hard to believe this claim based on my own experience, I've played 40+ hours and am not nearly finished yet.

And why is that? Isn't that up to them? They work on DLC just as they would be working on a new game with its own budget. So why is it up to us, the fans, to decide if something should be free?should be free

They don't have to create DLC at all. They are working on other games which will bring revenue for their efforts, so if the fans want more content for Dragon Age, then someone has to pay for the man hours and resources required to produce the content, otherwise it makes no business sense to do it. Simple as that. Besides, no DLC is necessary for the game to be well worth the money since Dragon Age contains a massive 800 thousand words of dialogue and story, that you decided to skip.
If you want multiplayer, go play an MMO or FPS, since depth of content is obviously not your forte.

Why? You'd just skip it anyways like you did the other 75% of the game

Another one rushing through a game to set a new speed record and then complains about lack of content, too high price or whatever. Skipping many quests and the heart of RPG: character and team progression which are in the side stories and dialog options.
So why does such a person play RPG at all? There are shooter games out there...

I'm still baffled that people have such an issue with DLC. They create a game, you purcahse the game as it stands. You've made a rational economic decision that for what you are getting it is worth $60.00.
I don't care if they have 200 DLC modules created and ready roll right now. The game, in the state I bought it, was worth my purchase price - more so at that than most other games I've bought on a hours/$$$$ basis let alone dealing with the quality. That was my decision. Now I can mak further decisions on future content and the value/ fun that it will provide.
