 So I never played mass effect 1 and for my second playthrough of mass effect 3 I wanted to changes some of the mass effect 2 decision. I downloaded the character file, stored in the mass effect 1 saves folder, used the configuration tool to recognise it. But that's where the problem starts I start up mass effect 2 click new game and import mass effect 1 character. This character is listed but clicking import does nothing it just stays on that screen.

 according to here you cannot import ME1 saves straight to ME3

you can only do ME2 to ME3
