Unlikely bioware would rather get 15$ from us for ending dlc.

Im pretty sure no game has ever had a patch to fix the ending lol.... Maybe this will be first.

Like the OP mentioned, Bethesda actually retconned the ending of Fallout 3 with the "Broken Steel" DLC, changing the fact that your character died (or your companion died).

So they wanted to close customers? What a bad business model Some people are going as far to say they wont buy any more of there games.SNascimento wrote...
Well, they do listen to people here... now, we don't know what they think about this. Maybe this is just the reaction they wanted.

This would be the opposite of trying to expand the game to a new audience, wouldn't it? And that is a posture a lot of people criticized Biowared for.
.
Maybe they put their beliefs ahead of money?

Probably not since most people are acting like four year olds and having temper tantrums. If they mature up, perhaps they'll take it as more than the vocal minority being the usual dumbasses they are.
Care if I use some of that straw to get the fire going? It's damn chilly.

Frankly I believe the studio will stay silent on the fuss and quietly push out whatever DLC they have planned as is down the line.

Then DA2 happend, although I enjoyed most of the game, i still was umpleased they most of the "RPG" elements were now gone. Then there was ME2, and that was fun to play but again was not happy that the "rpg" elements that made me fall in love with the first game were now gone, I didnt complain and enjoyed many, many hours with ME2. Truth be told I enjoyed 90% of ME3, it was fun, finding old friends, brokering peace with warring races, racing across the galaxy.. Then I got all fired up to take back earth, and seeing all my friends there doing their part to help. "Lets go kick some Reaper Ass!" I was pumped, I felt my blood rushing during the mad dash to the teleport pad and then Harbinger landed. "Get some!!" I wanted to fight that thing and kick it in the nuts before I left earth but know........ he kicks my butt instead and then I thought I entered a dream sequence.. I kept thinking.. Shep is knocked out some where, this is a dream but it didnt stop, just kept going. Then the 3 choices.. I took the time to play to the to see all of them. I am really disapointed.. This feels like such a short sided story wrap up that was controlled by EA, They should have just slapped giant EA logos on the Reapers. same thing the way they run things.

Wishful thinking. Unfortunately. It's too easy to discount anything on forums as "vocal minority". The effect of this wouldn't become apparent until they try to release whatever next game they are planning.
I know plenty of people who are not on the forums but completely agree that the endings were trash. My guess is that Bioware wants to wait on the UK/EU release and get feedback from the rest of the world.

I think they just ran out of time and resources and this is what we got. Honestly stop hiring these over priced voice actors and focus on quality story...I would go back to the plain text of Jaheira and Minsc in an instant if it got me that kind of quality story again.

yeah except their reactions will be the same because anyone who thinks these endings are ok would've had to have their brain and their anus switched around

Swearing off Bioware is kind of silly. They make great games, and ME3 really is one of their best, in my opinion. BUT, that doesn't change the really sour taste the ending leaves in the mouths of quite a few players.
