Basically this is my formula:

Pick 2
-Shepard separated from Normandy
-Relays Destroyed
-Normandy stranded on backwater planet

Either 2 of those 3 would have been fine, if Shep died but the Normandy was on Earth, even with the relays borked, fine. If Shep and the Normandy were on an uncharted world but the rest of Galactic Civilization was saved? Great. Normandy was stuck on a backwater planet but Shep would still have acess to the relays, that just makes for a fun DLC to find my crew.

It was all 3 that turned it from a sack tap to a low orbital ionic strike to the nads.

seriously I wanted the cliche ending beat the reapers live happily ever after with your LI become a legend reason being the whole reaper purpose bringing order to the chaos makes sense but it seemed that shepard had brought order to civilization he made peace with quarians/geth krogan/turian rachni/galaxy shepard killing the reapers gave civilization the chance to make their own future we deserve a new ending like that its bull**** after all of shepards hardwork he gets no happiness or at least we didnt get to see that they allow him to live for somereason

The Catalyst's ideas are flawed.

It says the created always rebel against the creators, but that's not always true. It was the Quarians who provoked the Geth after all. And the Catalyst's idea of races ascending is by processing them into giant machines that he has indoctrinated.

Also I actually think Control is the Paragon ending. I mean, look at it, destroy means killing EDI and the Geth, your friends, just to cause mass destruction and royally screw over a lot of people(the whole of the galaxy's fleets are in the Sol system. Without the Relays, they're stranded and possibly all killed if their ships get hit by the Crucible's blast)

While controlling the Reapers makes Shepard command them to retreat and leave. Presumably leaving everything functional so galactic society can continue with no more bloodshed.

Not to mention, for most of the Mass Effect series. Paragon and Renegade choices have been defined by color. Paragon = Blue, Renegade = Red. Switching it up right at the end is confusing to the player.

The relays are still destroyed in the controlling ending.
