I've heard that there's an error where the encounter with Conrad Verner on Ilium in ME2 goes the same way regardless of whether you intimidated him or charmed him into sense back in ME1, but on my playthrough for importing to ME2 I chose an option (just telling him to get lost, I think) which made him say something about proving Shepard wasn't the only one who could yadda yadda yadda. I can't quite remember exactly what he said because I was like, whatever Conrad, now just rack off. But whatever it was he ended up being killed after picking a fight with a bunch of Turians, which I heard about on the news during an elevator ride on my next visit to the Citadel. I felt a little bad about that because I don't feel like he deserved to die, even if he was a little bit stalker-y. But imagine my surprise when on finding him annoying the bartender on Ilium after importing the save with Dead Conrad in it. 

So is this a related Conrad error or did I misunderstand it and the error is really that Conrad turns up in the Ilium bar no matter what you do or say to him in the first game? Or did Cerberus have an earlier version of Lazarus project going where they resurrected Conrad Verner and made him into an annoying **** again?

Basically, your ME1 decision is always the renegade option where you point the gun in his face. It's actually a good thing since he shows up in ME3 too thus allowing you to keep him alive throughout the series.

I really love the Conrad encounter in the bar. His replies are hilarious.
“Sometimes I poke through crates, too. You know, for extra credits.”

I always choose the paragon option where you lie to him by saying he helped dismantle a terrorist cell. He replies, almost a sniveling whimper, "Really?". Like he knows he's useless.

 Yeah, I got that response about the crates as well. It was funny enough that I was quite pleased he wasn't dead after all. Didn't know about the paragon option though. I just choose renegade again, which also had quite funny results. I think I'll go paragon on the next playthrough.

In mine the news feed says he fell into a recycling fan after an accident trying to help or rescue someone.
